Van Wert and Coldwater, both state champions in 2020. Must be something in the air.

foxbat
3 hours ago, DT said: The HCC reminds me of Texas high school football and the Big 12. Lots of very high scoring offenses and flashy numbers and highly recruited qbs and receivers. And then come tournament time the big bad MIC (Alabama , Clemson and the Southeastern Conf expose them for what they are. You do realize that the Big-12 went went 5-0 in end-of-season bowls this year? You do also realize that a decent number of kids that play SEC ball come from Texas high schools too, right? Incidentally, you do realize that in the last four years, three of the four #1 NFL draft picks played Texas high school football? And two of them played in the Big 12. The other played for Texas A&M. Incidentally, the two games where the Big 12 played the SEC "come tournament time?" TCU vs. Arkansas was cancelled, but TCU was predicted by several outlets ... and Oklahoma spanked Florida 55-20. Also, a Texas high school player and Big 12 player has been the QB for the Chiefs for the last two SB's. and is 1-1 there. You continually malign Texas/Big12 football with the paintbrush, but then the numbers don't bear it out.
Coach P
On 2/12/2021 at 4:31 PM, DT said: The HCC plays a Big 12 style of football. There is a perception of "softness" that goes along with this style, given the over the top scoring, lack of defense and generally unrecognizable line play. The SAC is more of a Big Ten style conference. More focus on physical play. Ground oriented offenses and tough defensive orientation. While the HCC may be a notch or two above, the SACs reputation for toughness and grit help it to close the gap Have you ever watched a game film of the HCC... The line play is extremely good, and except for this past year, the defenses in the conference are very good. How can you say the HCC is soft... you can't stop those ground games with soft players...... 2
