oldtimeqb
Congratulations to all players selected. I would add disclaimer 1b. At the regional level, each coach is allowed to nominate 4 (I think) players. Combine that with your other points, and yes there are always deserving players who may not be named. Obi-Wan
So I know I am getting older and don't see as well but for the North was there really only 1 Lewellen that made the team?

I've always found it interesting that Player X can represent the North in the state championship but plays for the South in the ASG.

JQWL
How is it determined that a kid makes the team at a different position than he played during the year? For example a QB makes the team as a WR. Not doubting he is good because he is a good athlete but how is it decided he is better than those who actually played WR?
Coach Nowlin
did he make the region team as an "at large" offense player or as at Position such as QB ?

He played QB, made the region team as a RB, and made North/South team as a WR. The plot thickens. Not knocking the kid. He is a good football player and a good athlete. Having sat in region meetings, I am familiar with the process and I actually am familiar with the kid because I was a finalist the last time that job was open. That's why I'm a little surprised. Good for him though.
