SAGAMORE CONFERENCE 2021

Recommended Posts

East-Tipton, Hamilton Hts, WeBo, Lebanon, Tri-West, Danville

West-Frankfort, North Montgomery, Crawfordsville, Southmont, North Putnam, Greencastle

Play 5 games against your division.  Week #9 conference championship.  Play as many crossover games as you wish.   This would give some scheduling flexibility too.

People would want webo - lebanon - tri west- Danville split up.  Two on one side two on the other. Makes for better match up in a championship game.

The earlier proposal was big school-small school. Nobody is gonna end up happy no matter how you go about it. I know Tipton and Hamilton Heights would be fools to leave the Hoosier. Give up less than an hour drive to any school in their division for minimum 1 hour drive for every away game doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Tipton wants to stay in the Hoosier. Great conference with a good mix of schemes! Helps get you ready for the tournament.

I think there are plenty of reasons for Tipton to stay in the Hoosier Conference, but they've only won 1 sectional in the last 7 seasons so I'm not sure that is the strongest argument.  It has more to do with the two terrible non-conference games they usually schedule though.  Elwood and Madison-Grant (or Frankton) don't do anything for them at all.
