Hanover Central to the NCC in 2023/24

Griffith is going through radical racial and demographic changes.  The rough and tumble blue collar chip on your shoulder Griffith that ran roughshod during the Radtke years is gone.  Soccer and basketball are displacing football as primary sports as black and hispanic enrollment populations rise and white declines.  Griffith would really struggle in the NCC as they no longer have the same football mentality nor the depth to compete over their head as they did in the past.  They should stay where they are.

As I know you know, DT, Merrillville went through the same racial and demographic changes a few years earlier.

It affected their baseball and softball teams, which were state class in the 1990s and are now at the bottom of the (DAC) conference.

But it didnt affect the Merrillville football team, obviously. .  Griffith can play with Lowell. They schedule them. They fit in the NCC. Thats where their tradition is.

Everybody in the NCC will look up to Andrean when it comes to elite players but Griffith and Highland are so close they are almost the same place. .

I would be very concerned about their enrollment.  Apparently Gtown is now in the 650 range.  Thats far below HHS/KV/LOW.HOB, all in the 1050 to 1100 range.

Munster is 1500.  It doesnt matter what Andrean is, they will dominate.  GHS is probably now closer to the GSSC schools in enrollment than the NCC.   And I see no indication that Griffith enrollment will rebound
