Why is Knox off??  Preplanned and if so why?? Seems odd Radtke would want this as a bye week!!

Knox was to play Culver Community this week.

Culver is not playing right now.

Have not heard that Knox has picked up an opponent for Week #3 yet.

Caston v Triton- Trojans by 1.  We saw Caston last week in person and they have made huge improvements.  Smith is the real deal.  Triton will be jacked to play and honor their friend and teammate who passed away suddenly.  It’ll be an emotional night and game.  No fridays off this season in the HNAC.

North Judson V North Newton- Judson by 30.  Judson still has penalities to clean up.  They take another step forward this week.  Allen and Harper exploded last week for a huge offensive night for the Bluejays.  They’ll keep that rolling this week as they head out to Newton county.

Winamac V North white- Winamac by 35.  Running clock early and starters will be sucking Gatorade for most of the second half.

Pioneer v LaVille- Laville by 2.  Given that both teams played with a roster in the teens last week who can predict what this week will bring?  I’m still waiting to see the real Pioneer.

Does anybody have any insight on why Radtke isn't performing at Knox like he had at North Judson, NP or Griffith? I know Knox had huge expectations last year that didn't come to fruition. And from the looks/sounds of it, this year doesn't seem like they are good at all. At NP he raised expectation instantly (I'll admit that NP had a solid foundation to build with) but it's crazy to think of some of the stats the cougars would of had if the old NSC would of stayed intact during Radtke's entire tenure. But I'm just curious why Knox just can't seem to get it going, Knox has had a history of underperforming on the gridiron but I would of surely thought RR would of changed the mindset in Redskin Land. They have the enrollment, facilities, and is a community based school that Russ has thrived at his entire career. Its just odd to me.

Will the Lancers and Panthers be at full strength on Friday??  Injuries???    Not sure what procedures are anymore on the Covid situation??

That’s ok, you aren’t alone. I’m a public school teacher and they change all the time.

Predictions

Triton over Caston  emotions ride high and they get a much needed victory

Highland beats up Knox to keep Redskin Country scratching heads

Winamac rolls and represents our conference in nonleague play!!

LaVille over Pioneer - toss up as each team had many starters out last week!!!!!!!  UPDATES??

Does the mandate from the Governor's office yesterday regarding close contact and quarantine affect any of these situations where players are out due to close contact?  Do any of these schools have a mask mandate in the building?  If they do, students who have been in quarantine for close contact may return to school if they are asymptomatic.

Hopefully this mandate may allow more students to stay in school.

Don't want this to be political, just asking because it could get some kids back on the field that would have had to sit out.

Highland at Knox - I'm surprised Knox seeked out an opponent before next weeks showdown with the Jays. Highland 42 Knox 20

North Judson-San Pierre at North Newton -  NN has a gazelle for a QB, but it'll be a long night for him. Jays 42 NN 6

*Pioneer at LaVille - With multiple players out for both teams, I'm unsure what Friday will bring. Pioneer 20 Laville 14

Winamac at Manchester - Winamac 50 Manchester 16

Caston at Triton - A tough week for the Triton community as they mourn the loss of one of their players. RIP from the North Judson community. Triton handles business this week. Triton 35 Caston 20

Pioneer will only have 17 kids at practice today. Pioneer schools has been on virtual learning all week due to too many teachers being close Covid contacts.

Recap on JH site:  On paper this match-up looked like it should be all LaVille. The Lancers struck quick for a big play score in the air, but Pioneer sustained drives and the Lancers defense couldn’t get the stops they needed to. Pioneer controlled the tempo, ate up the clock and had to rush for over 250 yards. LaVille had a goal line stand in the 2nd qtr to lead 7-0 at halftime. Brock Robinson was a stud, among many others for the Panthers. The Pioneer system/philosophy did exactly what they are known for and do it well!!
