Clock Question . . .

Recommended Posts

This is an honest question . . .  Not trying to be a smart guy.

I was asked and do not know the answer. Appreciate the response . . . .

In the state tournament, should the score reach 35 points or more and the clock runs . . . . Does the clock continue to run (except for injury, timeout, end of period, or by the officials) if the score goes below the 35 points?  So if it runs at 35 or more, but then goes below 35 does the clock contiune to run?

Thanks!

as always, the game is better

At all levels UNTIL the State Finals.... Mercy Rule is in place

The Mercy Rule is NOT superseded if the trailing team gets within 35 points during the 2nd half.  Once it begins, it NEVER stops.

I believe the mercy rule is also not in effect in the semistate, unless a rule change happened in the last couple of years.
