The SIAC Thread

Won’t be a popular opinion but the SIAC is a bunch of average teams and 1 above average to good team. Thinking of the top teams over the last few years, I think those teams beat this years top teams pretty handily.

I suppose that could be the case.

But from my POV, it’s been nothing but talented teams every single week. No team, including Reitz, can afford a week off. I think VL and Castle figured this out the hard way on Friday. Memorial and Jasper have now made themselves known (as I feared, Lincoln’s final 2 opponents).

For me, I can’t wait to see what happens late October/early November. Nothing but quality football this regular season. I believe we will see post season results.

Power Rankings updates:

1. Reitz

2. Mater Dei

3. Memorial?

4. ?

5. ?

6. ?

7. ?

8. Harrison

9. Bosse

10. Central

For the first time in a while, I have no idea how to rank 3-7, too many 4-3 teams. I will update it again before Friday and run some projections

Can’t blame you. Way too much parity. Makes for great viewing though!

Not sure where to post this, but GS is looking for a 7th grade game for this Thursday. Direct Message me if you know a team available.

Did Memorial's 7th grade play you? I know they have struggled to get games at times too. I think we are playing MD again this Thursday.

Other than better record I’m not sure MD is 2.

Honestly I feel like it should be

1. Reitz

2. Memorial

3. Mater Dei

4 Castle

5 North

6. VL

7 Jasper

8. Harrison

9 Bosse

10. Central

Memorial's losses were so early in the year and they had so many guys out. They also beat MD. Now if they lose to Castle or MD is able to beat Reitz that changes things, but as for now this is how I would rank them.

This is as close as you could possibly rank it at this very moment. Fair.
