Unless there are tow Joey Elliotts, #21 Joey Elliott went to Evansville Harrison and played in the SIAC

Ah, good catch.  Thanks.

That bumps Jeffrey Simmons (TE/class of 2022) from Fishers into the top 25.

Was also amazed to see that Dustin Keller was a TWO star recruit coming out of Lafayette Jeff.

Still remember his high jump dual with Northwest's Rodney Carney at the 2002 track state finals.  Carney won and then Keller came back and won in 2003 after Carney left for college at Memphis and then later had a brief NBA career.  Keller went on to be a star at Purdue and had a decent NFL career.

Do not forget about Gary Harris for HSE. Obvious top recruit for basketball. He did play some football and was very talented. Just wanted to share another big time player out of the HCC.

Along those same lines, Randy Gregory was also a near miss on the top 25.

His composite was around .76 or so.  What's interesting about that 2-star rating is that he was a threat across three different sports and across different skill areas, so it wasn't like he was a punt returner and a sprinter.  I'm wondering how much having Richard close by, along with Vlahogeorge on the same field, so a competition of local QBs, had a "blunting" impact on Keller's star rating.

The thing about Keller is that he was progressive and adaptable.  If he hadn't had that knee/leg injury, I really think he would have had much more than a decent NFL career as the years went on.  He's the kind of guy that learned and grew.  He was also fairly grounded too.

No clue.  If so, those are damn impressive genetics huh?

From 24/7:

Elijah Daniel

“2013 Under Armour All-American. ...Named to the IFCA Class 5-A junior All-State Team as a sophomore. ...Older brother Montez Robinson signed with Georgia out of high school. Older brother Armonze Daniel signed with Marshall out of high school. Originally from Alabama...Invited to "The Opening", an all-star summer prospect camp held on the Nike Campus.”

I seem to remember James being a half brother of these 3, but I can’t back that up.

Didn't Sampson James have a brother play out West?
