Wenker breaks one

FC 29

Stars 21

Kid is fast and you aren’t going to contain him for an entire game.

Stars fall 29-21

these 2 will decide the sectional championship.

Floyd isn’t nearly as good as some are convinced they are.

Sure they are. The weather conditions played a huge part. BNL caught about every break they could in this game. Even Polk getting hurt on what I thought looked like a late hit with no flag.

I hear excuses from FC fans every year.
Coach Weber is building a program and you didn’t hear a peep of an excuse from either our sidelines or fans when we lost to Madison.
Tonight two evenly played teams battled on the football field and you offer nothing but excuses.

East struggles with Seymour and no excuses from their camp.

Hope we get another crack at Floyd in the sectionals.

Facts.

FC/BNL is always a good game, regardless of records coming in. I bet they end up playing again in sectionals and you can't be surprised if BNL walks away with the one that matters. It's tough to beat a team twice.

FC played them close last year and then in Sectionals, BNL woke up and put it on them. I predict the opposite this year.

I agree with you, but unless there is a monsoon, I like FC in that one.

Last year BNL was head and shoulders above Floyd.
The good news is everyone on your sideline and in your stands thinks you’ve already won the Sectional.

That is completely false. BNL played tough tonight. I respect coach Weber and his program. We have a pretty good coach on the sidelines too. And a lot of good players.

Btw @Fkfootball I just like to talk it up and it’s nothing personal. Part of what makes a forum fun.

We shall see what happens in a few weeks and will know the draw Sunday night.

I’m not dogging on BNL or anything man. They are very clearly better than a 2-6 team. I’ll give them that. Nikirk, Hutchens, and Yates are 3 good SRs. The LT Bunch did as good of a job on Trace Richards as anyone has done all season. These games in Monsoons are always stupid. I just know that FC is right where I wanted them to be. 2 losses to East and the #18 team in the Country. Now they go to Seymour where they have lost 7 of the last 8 times and usually had the better team on paper. It’s tough to win on the road.

No dog in this fight, but I wouldn’t sleep on Jeff or NA come sectional time. Floyd seems the most solid team and BNL hasn’t really showed anything special- consistent from coaching- but nothing that tells me they should be. Sectional champion contender.

we all know it’s tough to beat BNL at home as the stripes always seem to be one sided there. Last time I was there - Seymour won but only after the officials threw bogus flags on every 4th down BNL play and clock keeper added time 3 times on the final drive as BNL was marching for the win only to throw an interception at the goal line. Ref’s were escorted off. Seems to be that way every time we play there.

You bet officials who drive in from Salem or Greenwood are dead set on throwing a high school football game.

Maybe it’s age but I’m glad I don’t get worked up about officials as much as I used to. Do officials miss calls? Absolutely, do they intentionally screw a team on a Friday night I don’t buy it whatsoever.  I’m tired on a Friday night after working all week. These officials work 50+ hours a week at their real jobs and then come out on Friday nights because they love the game.

I do agree that the sectional is wide open I believe any of the 4 teams could win it. Outside of Wenker Floyd doesn’t have anything that BNL, Jeff of NA can’t match up against.

It also seems that the young NA team is improving each week as they gain experience and BNL is slowly getting healthy and showing some continuity on offense minus the few kids that are out for the season.

I think any of the 4 could win the sectional and Floyd should be the favorite.

Say what you will, but after 3 trips to BNL personally, it seems to be the same every time. I don’t believe anything’s intentional- but every critical call going for the home team seems consistent there. Coincidence, every time- yea I guess that’s possible. Don’t see it anywhere but BNL.

I disagree. BNL couldn’t stop Tristan Polk untill he sprained his ankle. They couldn’t cover Calvin Brown, and they couldn’t cover Kaleb Quenichet. And that’s in the rain. They really couldn’t move the ball on Floyd when their defense really locked in. The weather played a factor for both teams of course. But Floyd is a lot more explosive on offense than they were due to high wind and a lot of rain.
