As always, we have our 'Whose Broadcasting Where' state-wide broadcast list on our website at http://www.broadcastsport.net.  Just started assembling list this week and have 436 broadcasts listed so far.

If your games aren't listed, please e-mail us your list or post it in this thread.

I love your site and use it often.

How many school charge the visiting team to do the webcast or radio of the game?

Depends largely on what you're doing. We've never been charged as a high school radio station. I know of schools that charge for video webcasts/TV unless there is some relationship with the school...ie...ISC and the MIC or WHMB TV 40, etc.

Up in Michiana - here is this season's TV-46 Game of the Week schedule:

Image

They have left weeks 6 through 9 open, which I think is a great idea. I think they have done this the last few seasons and it has helped guarantee some good matchups on the back half of the season. We'll see where things sit in a little over a month, but here are some good options for games in those last four weeks (first game is my guess as to which matchup will end up airing:

Week 6: Mishawaka at Warsaw / Mishawaka Marian at Penn / Bremen at John Glenn / LaVille at Knox

Week 7: John Glenn at LaVille / NorthWood at Mishawaka / Concord at Northridge

Week 8: New Prairie at Penn / Mishawaka Marian at Elkhart / Mishawaka at Concord

Week 9: Warsaw at Northridge / Elkhart at New Prairie / South Bend St. Joseph at Mishawaka Marian

I was told today that Andrean is charging $300 per game to allow live video or $1000 for all 4 regular season home games. Boo!!

Do players have rights to use those companies' footage on their own social media -- whether monetized or not?

Most of us broadcasters have copyright rights to their broadcasts, but if we creating a broadcast of high school players actions, then why should we prevent them from using our broadcast to promote themselves?

It is a topic worthy of discussion with NIL. Perhaps (:cough:) someone more experienced with broadcasting should start a thread?!?!?
