PAC 2023

Depending on year it could be Pike Central getting "bumped" up, them and SR are real close in enrollment.

SR already plays GS, HH, and Boonville not sure what the benefit for them to change divisions would be?

Oh, I never said there would be a benefit for Southridge. I just think Perry Central fits well in the PAC.

Was  Perry Central a former Southwest 7 member? Back when Linton was Class A and Wood Memorial had a team?

They always seemed to come west back then and now the PLAC sends them more SE Indiana.

I don't believe PC was a member of the SW 7. I'm 40 and they have been in the PLAC for as long as I can remember.

According to a Google search. Perry Central opened in 1962 and were a founding member of the PLAC in 1979. Not sure what conference affiliation they had during those first 17 years.

Thanks for the info. I was just wondering. There is about a 5-10 year blur when my SW Indiana trivia knowledge went out the window.

I went to college and when I came back Tecumseh and Wood had left the PAC, Gibson Southern and Tell City joined the PAC and Mt Carmel was playing in the Big 8.

Tanner Boyd (Gibson Southern)

Brody Klem (Gibson Southern)

Braydon Durham (Heritage Hills)

I will admit that early in this topic when we were talking predictions for the conference I had no idea how much SR brings back....very impressive—counting HM, 9 All-Conference players.   That is a lot of experience.

Reid Schroeder (MVP)(RB, OLB), Caleb Kramer (Defensive captain)(TE, MLB), Luke Meyer (G, DE), Carter Harris (OLB, TE), Levi Neukam (QB, FS), Yamil Arroyo (RB, OLB), Blake Taylor (G, OLB), Myles Kerkhoff (RB, SS),Crew Gerber (Southridge)(G, NG).

Ok so looks like Maxpreps isn't cleaned up for SR.  Sooo...at least Schroeder and Arroyo were seniors.  I will look for a SR roster when time allows.

Correct on Schroeder- incorrect on Arroyo. He was a junior last year.

Are there any others I said return that don’t?

Not sure on who you all listed- but we should return 7 starters on both sides of the ball- if academics/eligibility/specialization gonna be “basketball and baseball” stardom doesn’t get in the way lol…(insert eyeroll emoji)

I expect Southridge will be very good, maybe better than last year. Handful of those players that made their defense so tough are returning. Scoring points will be the question for them. I don’t think they will be quite as good as GS but they’ll still be as tough as any in 3A south.

I believe Kramer, Meyer, Neukam and Gerber were all seniors last year. Harris, Arroyo and Kerkhoff were juniors. Taylor was a sophomore... at least thats what hudl shows...

How many All-Conference selections does the PAC give out?

As I understand it, they vote a full squad for big & small school divisions, so there are basically 6 schools that make up each All-Conf team. That will change a little bit this year as Tecumseh has joined the small school division.
