More than 440,000 UFO enthusiasts signed up to “storm Area 51” through a Facebook event in efforts to "see them aliens."

As of Friday afternoon, the event, titled Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us, has over 442,000 people signed up to attend. More than 450,000 others have also indicated interest in the event.

“We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry,” the event description reads. “If we naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets. Lets see them aliens.”

The event is set to take place on Sept. 20 at Area 51, an Air Force base in Nevada where many conspiracy theorists have long believed the U.S. government holds top secret information about extraterrestrial life. They also allege the area to have been the site of frequent UFO sightings.

......

This could be fun.  Whose with me?  Start practicing Naruto running...................

Area 51 expert on social media campaign to 'storm' top-secret site: Military won't let anyone get close: https://www.foxnews.com/science/area-51-expert-storm-facebook-military

Quote

n author and expert on Area 51 said the U.S. military will never let civilians anywhere near the top-secret site after the "Storm Area 51" movement went viral on Facebook.

One million Facebook users have now responded that they would go to a Facebook event scheduled for Sept. 20 at 3:00 a.m., with the creator writing "they can't stop all of us."

“If we naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets,” the event description said, referencing a Japanese comic character known for his speed.

“Let's see them aliens.”

The social media campaign made national headlines as it grew last week, forcing the Air Force, which runs the installation, to respond and caution UFO enthusiasts against traveling to the area.

"[Area 51] is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces. ... The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets," spokeswoman Laura McAndrews told The Washington Post.

Responding Monday on "Fox & Friends," Annie Jacobsen – author of "Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base – dismissed the idea that civilians could get close to the facility. She explained that the classified military facility is housed inside a classified testing and training range which is the size of Connecticut.

"That base is so jealously guarded, both in terms of media and in terms of actual physicality. I don't think the Air Force or any of the other military partners or intelligence community partners that are all working out there at Area 51 are gonna let anybody anywhere near the entrance to Area 51," said Jacobsen.

Area 51 is a facility near Groom Lake, Nev., run by the Air Force whose operations are highly classified. It has been linked to alien conspiracy theories since the testing of a spy plane in 1955 in which the Central Intelligence Agency first shed light on the military detachment.

Jacobsen, a Pulitzer Prize finalist and New York Times bestselling author, said "disinformation" and "cover stories" about the operations at Area 51 continue to this day.

I read Ms. Jacobsen's book several years ago,  a recommended read.   That said I believe she and the military spokesperson discounts the power of Naruto running..........................

Here's What You'll Face When You Try to Invade Area 51: https://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/heres-what-youll-face-when-you-try-to-invade-area-51-1836420016?

This week, the internet is going crazy with talk of a mass People’s Invasion of Area 51. More than one million people have signed up on Facebook to breach the gates of the most famous top secret government facility in the world. The event, which sprang to life as a joke started by social media shitposters, has now racked up an enormous amount of publicity worldwide, with media outlets taking it utterly seriously and others as the joke it always was. Unless you want to do it for real. In which case, settle in.

The event, Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us, was created by the Facebook group Shitposting cause I’m in shambles. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know. Despite its humble origins the event has taken on a life of its own, with 1.3 million people having declared they are going to the Nevada desert to participate in the September 20 raid and another one million having expressed interest in the event.

The American public has long had a fascination with Area 51, and traditional allegations that the U.S. government is harboring flying saucers, bits of crashed saucers, and actual aliens. Public distrust in government remains at historic lows. Just 17 percent of the American people “trust the government in Washington all or most of the time.” Given those factors, it’s not hard to see why “Let’s see them aliens” has become such an appealing rallying cry.

Interest in Area 51 has also been bolstered recently by New York Times articles reporting sightings U.S. Navy fighter pilots in 2004 and 2015. The U.S. government is also reportedly sitting on metallic alloys and UFO scrap allegedly recovered from “unidentified aerial phenomena.”

What are the alloys? No one can say. They are simply The Alloys.

Say you are actually willing to participate in the raid. The trip will be difficult and conditions not ideal. You will be arrested and sent to federal prison, or possibly shot, all to see things that may not actually exist. Still want to go? Okay.

Looks like a viable attack plan to me.

The original “Storm Area 51" Facebook invitation encouraged people to break into the secret government facility by doing a Naruto run. And now that the event is here (it’s supposed to happen today), it looks like some people are taking the instructions literally. Some random guy was seen on local TV news in Las Vegas yesterday doing a Naruto run in the background.

The Naruto run is named after the Japanese anime character Naruto Uzumaki, who throws his arms behind his back and runs face-first into danger. The U.S. Air Force has even been briefing their teams on the definition to prepare for this Storm Area 51 shitshow.

The TV news segment, which was filmed yesterday by the local ABC affiliate KTNV and is available on YouTube, was shot in Rachel, Nevada, one of the places where people are already gathering for what’s now being dubbed Alienstock.

Hopefully, nothing terrible happens this weekend, since the U.S. military has warned that they will protect their sites with force if necessary and the Air Force has closed off airspace around Area 51 this weekend. Two Dutch YouTubers were already arrested last week for trying to get too close to Area 51.

Gizmodo has a reporter on the ground in Nevada and we’ll let you know if they “see them aliens.”

While Alienstock has morphed from a joke flashmob into a weird riff on burning man, some attendees have arrived early to remind us that first and foremost this is a protest. Videos have started to appear online showing participants outside the gates in the pre-dawn hours brandishing signs demanding extraterrestrial freedom. Shit’s going to get weird.

Nice to know the Naruto runners have arrived.  There is hope.
