  1. Wood Memorial

Hate to see any team not playing. Hopefully they can rebuild and come back stronger.
  2. Good camps?

Does anyone know of a good camp or two in central or southern Indiana? Daughter is looking for a camp with college coaches, would like to get noticed. She has always been top three on every travel team she has played on.
  3. No disrespect to Linton fans or posters!! But I think a lot of people chalked this game as a W. I did as well. Congratulations to Eastern Greene on a big win, and good luck to both teams going forward!
  4. Jasonville had a team in the teens and twenties also. There is a sign when you come into town from the west that says something like, this is the sight of the first football game under lights in Indiana.
  5. 2017 Hoosiers

Does anyone know what happened to Tyler Natee (the BIG running back)? I haven't seen him play at all this year.
  6. Best of luck to both teams and fans, from the town that seperates you!
  7. 2017 Hoosiers

2017 Hoosiers: If the QB play is similar to this year, 4-8 or 5-7. If Lagow shows what we have seen glimpses of, and cuts down on turnovers and poor decisions.... 6-6, maybe 7-5. Keep up the good work in 2017 Dude!
  8. Kevin Wilson

I for one would like to say congratulations coach Allen! Good luck to coach Wilson, and let's get past this and keeping moving forward!
  9. Miners win 7 on 7

great job miners!!! it is good to see a small school do good against bigger schools!!!! I just wish Linton could play teams that challenge them more in the regular season, to prepare them for the post season. If they do not I think they may never achieve what they set out to do. I think it does them no good to play sub-par teams and beat them 72-0. Anyway, good luck Miners!
  10. Is It Time to Cancel the Pro Bowl?

i agree with you Muda. if the fans want a better game there needs to be a reward for playing hard and trying to win, but what is the solution? these players are make so much money, i don't think a bonus would work. you can't do a home field advantage because of the super bowl being held on a neutral field, so what is there to do about this??? i like GB and FishDuck's idea of a skills competition.
  11. Greatest NFL QBs of All Time

wow this could be another thread altogether!!!! seriously my top 5 would be 5. "Slingin" Sammy Baugh or Johnny Unitas 4. Tom Brady 3. Payton Manning 2. Joe Cool 1. Dan Marino
  12. Greatest NFL QBs of All Time

    5. Akili Smith 4. Andre Ware 3. Todd Marinovich 2. Ryan Leaf 1. JaMarcus Russell
  13. hey now coach Hayes, lets keep this on topic and leave the mud-slinging to politics. As you can tell by my user name, I am from Dugger. I can't speak for all people from Dugger, but I am rooting for NV and coach Crabtree. I think he is a great coach and a class act!!!
  14. Sectional 48

How about a Linton vs Casey Westfield match-up?? Now that is a game I would love to watch!
  15. Riverton Parke and Wood Memorial could put Dugger back on their schedule, that might help every team involved.
  16. I for one would like to say I'm sorry to the fans and players from the Martin County Community Football Team. I don't know what the coach was thinking to run the score up on you guys like that. I have been a loyal fan for YEARS and also played for Dugger. We should know how it feels to get beat bad, we should know what it is like to have the score ran up on us!! The beatings we have took in the past from some very good teams like LINTON, NORTH DAVIEES, NORTH KNOX, PERRY CENTRAL, SOUTHERN WELLS, SULLIVAN, NORTH CENTRAL, and many more. And i can't remember any of those teams acting the way we did, the onside kick when we were up by 30 something!!!, the reverses, and more... I think that when a team gets up by 3 or 4 scores you call off the dogs, (limited pass plays, no trick plays, and NO onside kicks!!! Sorry from the true Dugger fans!!! I was so embarassed that I left before the game was over, i always stayed untill the end even when we were getting blown out but not this time.
  17. that is sad, i think football does more for young men then any other sport. I played them all, but I always find myself talking about the good ol' days of 2 a days in 100 degree weather with black helmets and jerseys, running till you puke, working in the weight room after practice, and so on. I still to this day call my old coaches coach when i see them. as for football in Martin County I don't know very much, i don't see them losing very many to other schools because of geography. it would be a long haul to most schools, depending on what part of Martin County they live in. If you live in Loogotee you could go to ND, Washington, or Jasper but all are around 30 minutes away. If you are from Shoals you could go to Mitchell or Springs Valley, both are about 30 minutes away as well. I would like to see WRV get a high school team sometime, as well as Bloomfield.
  18. Sorry for the typo, dugger union is the old union dugger, we have been a school since 1921. We were closed down last year and started a charter school type thing this year. We has been an ihsaa member for years, until now, we are a club team. MCCF is a club team as well. They are based out of Martin county Indiana.
  19. could've been indy, i still didn't like it. i mean man come on, onside kicks, deep passes and a reverse or two.
  20. Sectional 48

if i'm right Linton has guite a few players in the 4th-7th or 8th grade that were most of Dugger's best talent. i wish them the best at Linton, i know that they will get to expirence what a winning football program is all about. i went to a lil' dogs game the other day at Linton and it is sad to see Dugger's youth program in as sad of shape. no offense to any of the players on Dugger's team but about all they had was a hard nosed fullback and defensive end on the big team. i feel bad for the kids and coaches....
  21. Sectional 48

very true, numbers were always and issue at Dugger, i can remember playing a few games in the 90's with 2 or 3 subs... very hard to compete like that, although we had some "good" teams in the mid to late 90's, well .500 is good for Dugger...... I wish W.M. the best of luck in the future.
  22. Sheridan visits Linton

I can not speak for all Dugger folks, but I think most of us pull for Linton most of the time...... Well maybe a little more this week
  23. Sectional 48

    nice post "Coach"
  24. I believe the school board and the town will continue to "have the students backs". Is this a perfect situation? no. I know more than I will post on the internet, but the students and players were never in any "bad situation" because of coach Tieken. I wish him the best of luck in the future.
