    Winamac at Central Catholic

According to John Harrell website, Laville has best odds to make it to state for all 2A

Since you mentioned your dad is an assistant, can,you share a little more on the film exchange?

I have been told a while ago that teams exchange two films.  Is that any two games someone wants to share?  Is it two films the asking school picks?

Is it the last two games the receiving team played? Or maybe an ask for certain games?

Was ways curious ad I have never been a football coach.

I’m not sure for high school to be honest. My dad just handles the kickers for Varsity and helps were coach needs it. No official coach on Varsity. He has coached Junior High for 26 years has head coach so far.

Seems like a modified playlist for LaVille.  Not that that is a bad thing.

Used the running game much of the contest.  I recall four passes by LaVille.

LaVille def. won the line of scrimmage.

That defensive line is impressive and kept Shuman from breaking free.

The offensive line opened up huge holes for the running game - I've got to believe that DeWitt and Smith had over 100 yards rushing each.

QB did well directing the offense.

Gotta believe that LaVille will have to throw the ball more during the state tournament in order to keep the opposition honest.

Impressive season by LaVille so far!

Laville definitely kept it simple for QB this game. He completed 3 passes one for a TD but was called back. Honestly though Laville hasn’t thrown it more than 7 times a game I think since Triton and has since went to the power game and defense, which is both their strengths.  Looking forward to the playoffs!!

Hard To Believe The Final Regular Season Games Have Arrived

    Caston at Knox

    LaVille at Culver

    Pioneer at North Judson

    Winamac at Triton

    What say you?

as always, the game is better

    from_the_sidelines007

    Caston vs Knox - Knox

    Laville vs Culver - Laville

Pioneer vs North Judson - Judson

    Winamac vs Triton - Triton

I personally don’t see any of the games really close this week but that’s why play the game. Also does Culver have a broadcasting station, would like to hopefully see Laville win the title but can’t be at the game!

But now you’re taking him from the other position that they needed him at and replacing him with an inferior player.  Still affects the team.

He has only caught 3 passes all year. So offense won’t be as much. Just depends if keep him at Corneback as he starts their and has 5 picks on year

That is a tough injury for the team and for the player. I watched the replay back several times and it was a typical run by the LaVille QB and a good football tackle by North Judson.

If I am not mistaken, the Czarnecki kid has played QB a couple of years and moved to a diffferent position because he was needed and it was the best overall move for the team.

I think this back-up will be just fine.

We will see come Friday night.

Guess that's why coaches say, 'Next man up'

Agree nothing was dirty about the tackle. Just a freak injury that could happen to any running QB.

Yes the backup is the JV Qb and also was junior High Qb for my Dad. He may not be a good as athlete at the QB position as Plummer, but he can do plenty and hopefully enough to lead them!

Lavile strength is their line and power so keep leaning on that and pass when need to. Honestly Laville hasn’t passed much after the Triton game and went to pound and ground and some play action.

    Culver vs LaVille

Culver should be feeling very good. I know Ortiz has been out or was out for a bit. I know they had a couple lineman out against Triton.  Shuman is an absolute animal. Mike Zehner is an outstanding guy and glad to see even what they lost last year still being 4-4 is pretty good.

I think LaVille's biggest issue will be how they adjust wo Plummer.

    Triton Vs Winamac

Triton is just simply bigger, stronger and they got more facial hair (mighty ducks 2 reference). They shouldn't have much of an issue w Winamac. I watched Judson and LaVille play online and was blown away about how healthy our kids stayed in the game vs both schools due to the size of both. Triton prob not near as big but big enough. This year is unfamiliar territory for Winamac. They haven't had a 2 win season since the early 90s and its treading that way. They however only lose 2 kids off this years team that make a big impact. They return about 19 or 20 kids that get playing time, so hopefully a good off-season can make next years prospects better.

North Judson beats Pioneer for the first time as conference foes.

Crazy to see how down Pioneer is.

Knox rolls Caston. Radtke one of this years is gonna have a legit team at Knox.

Heard Plummer is done for year. Colin Czarnicki is back up which is gifted athlete comes in. Kid can play and Laville wins by 21 at minimum

If you took my comments as a complaint of some sort, you read way too much into it.

Wasn't giving any opinion one way or the other.  Just describing an exciting play for others on this board that may not have heard about it.  I had no stake in the outcome.  I was just sitting here in my chair in Ohio watching the WHME Facebook feed, enjoying a good game while also listening to Penn play New Prairie.

    Nothing more than that.

I didn’t take anything out the comment to be honest. Just the better team won tonight and god bless

Just describing the last play.  Other than the "Bush Push", which was illegal at the time and from inside the 5 yard line, I've never seen that occur in OT to win a game, starting so far from the goal line.

Why the nasty remark?  Is it because you didn't get the last word on the game details?

Nasty remark? The refs let the play go so they felt he was still getting momentum so I’m sure what talking about. Laville outplayed and out coached Judson in second half with backup QB. Didn’t let Judson score.

Bush Push maybe was illegal back then but I watch football weekly and see plenty of plays like that.

    Must be a Judson fan

Paul DeWitt is the conference mvp. That kid is an animal!!!!!

What a play by #25 on the td to win it! The OL of LaVille knocked the Jays D line down like the falling of the Berlin wall!!

    Was an awesome watch!

Yeah Laville Online legit. Think Judson also had under 200 yards rushing, which coming into game was averaging near 280

    North Judson at LaVille

    Winamac at Caston

    What say you?

    Pioneer by 10

    Triton by 7

    Laville by 3-5

    Winamac by 14

Can Laville stop NJ running game?  Still haven’t heard from Laville faithful?

I’m a Laville fan as Dad has coached for last 26 years in Junior High. I think Judson running game is legit. I think Laville is gonna have to change the front some but I do believe Judson will be able to run as they are tough in the back field. I think Laville can stop them maybe every couple drives but I expect Judson to score some.

Ok, let's do a tale of the tape:

Which team - NJ or LV - has the better piece of the game?

Rushing Game - I think they both are very good but I would give slight edge to Judson and I’m a Laville Fan

Passing Game- Pure passing game Laville but both can run really well

O Line- Laville strength is online and they are very good so would give them the edge buts Judson’s is definitely very well coached in the technique for the offense they run

D Line - I would say even as both defense give up under 7

Secondary - haven’t seen much team get passed on so can’t say much

    Punting Game not sure

    Kicking Game (i.e

     PAT, FG, KICKOFF)

Both have legs so I would say even

    Anything Else?

My prediction is Laville wins anywhere from 3-5 points

as always,  the game is better

Caston at Culver- 52-6. Caston won't win a game this year.

Glenn at LaVille- 48-6. Laville gets back on track and takes it out on the falcons.

Pioneer at Knox- 42-14. Pioneer is young and Knox is starting to click.

Triton at North Judson- 21-14. Game of the week. Both teams come out excited to play.

West Central at Winamac- 29-28. Since Winamac now has their best player and would pass all over everyone, they score 28 this week.

    Caston vs Culver = CULVER

    Laville vs Glenn = LAVILLE

    Pioneer vs Knox = KNOX

Triton vs NJP = Triton ( going upset)

    West C vs Winamac =WINAMAC

    So, LaVille scored first.

One play, and boom . . . In the end zone.

    Knox the kick.

Then Knox scored on a long drive.  Must have been 15 plays or something like that.

Knox held LaVille on downs twice in the second quarter. Knox offense definitely had the ball more in the first half than LaVille and led 7-6.

LaVille looked like it wanted to run the ball more than pass.

LaVille's quarterback had a few runs, maybe six or seven, but was able to score inside the 10.

With LaVille ahead, Knox started its comeback in the 4th.

The Knox QB is pretty sharp.  Several times he kept the ball and ran for 5-6 yards at a time.

The Knox RB is quick and is probably one of their best players. I think he's a freshman. And he was able to make some big plays to help the offense.

He made a nice catch in double coverage that led to a Knox score.

After Knox scored and the score was 21-20, two timeouts were called.  Look like Knox was trying to draw LaVille offside, but LaVille didn't bite.

Then Knox went for a Wildcat to RB and he tried up the middle.

LaVille stuffed them and then was able to run out the clock.

I give Knox at of credit. They hung in and gave LaVille a good game.

Knox certainly nearly pulled off the upset.

Laville could have been up anywhere from 27-7 to 31-7 at the start of the 4th as they missed a field goal and got stuff on 5 yard line by Knox in 2nd quarter! But that’s why play the game and keep fighting! Great game by Knox!

Laville come out flat or is Knox just close to them in talent? Sounds like it was a good game!

judson ended up 39-10. Few too many mistakes and penalties but they played a good game against a tough opponent.

I wasn’t at game but I do know Laville left 10 points off the board at least with missed FG and Knox stopped them at 5 yard line. Plus blocked extra point
