what's the size of Plymouth front 7/8? We scrimmaged NP this summer and the pure size of those dudes was something else. They could just wedge block you for 4 yards a clip and hard to do something about it
Pretty big. I wouldn’t count the Rockies’ defense out. It’s going to be a fun game to watch.

I keep hearing all of this talk (maybe overconfidence??) about how NP is going to crush Plymouth (other than Boilernation’s comment just now). New Prairie’s strength is running. All Plymouth has to do is block the run (especially up the middle) and if that goes poorly for NP, they are left with throwing against a defense known for stopping the pass game. I’m not saying that Plymouth is guaranteed the W. I truly think that this will be a close and a great game to watch. Either team will have to really work for the victory and whoever does will be making it to state in my opinion.

Ok for real now:
*Plymouth 35 Goshen 0 Self explanatory
Memorial 28 Wawasee 3 See above
Northridge 17 Concord 21 Could be close game but I don’t see a Concord losing after last week’s loss
Warsaw 28 Northwood 17 I believe Warsaw defense will be a big factor tonight
*In case of rain
Plymouth 21 Goshen 0 Ball will be staying on the ground more than the Rockies are comfortable with

Define "toast." Just the offense or the overall score?
Toast: a slice of bread that has gone through the cooking process, creating a generally crispy outside. This process generally occurs in a device called a “toaster.”

My revised picks as the season has unfolded are as the following
6A: Avon over Warsaw, 42-24
- I'm still in love with the local giant Lafayette Jeff, but I don't see them getting past a good Warsaw team. Avon is playing some of the best football in 6A right now, will be a tough out for anyone
5A: Valpo over New Pal, 35-31
- I flipped a coin between New Pal and Cathedral. New Pal won best 3 out of 5. Valpo seems to be the best team in 5A, and will beat any and all takers
4A: Marian over East Central, 24-14
- I honestly think Marian is the best team in 4A, will think that until a team beats them in the post season
3A: Chatard over Brownstown Central, 41-21
- I just want to see May make it to the Oil Can, and Brownstown seems to have the team to get it done
2A: Eastbrook over Linton Stockton, 21-20
- Linton might be a reach, but I like what they are doing. I want to see all the hard work Adamson has put into his career at Eastbrook come to fruition, and what better season to do it then when nobody is picking you?
1A: Lutheran over Southwood, 28-22
- 4 straight trips to semi-state should finally get this Lutheran team over the hump. Southwood seems to be a dark horse, and might be the North's best chance at beating South Adams for a spot in the Oil Can
Does this mean that if Plymouth was in 6A, they make it to state??

I certainly think Plymouth has a quality team and it’s quite possible whoever comes out of that sectional should win the regional as well. If you are trying to say that NP hasn’t seen an offense like Plymouth yet this year, I would say that cuts both ways. Plymouth hasn’t seen an offense like NP either. Baron does seem like a quality QB. In case you haven’t been paying attention NP has a kid at QB who can play just a little bit too.
i haven’t watched the Plymouth/Concord game yet, but I didn’t think they were overly impressive against Northridge. If you turn the ball over to NP 5 times like Northridge did in that game NP will score well over 35 pts.
Also, seems like NP moves some of their offensive guys to defense once and a while if/when necessary.
I mean, the NP offense is good, but it’s kinda a mesh between Concord and Northridge, and we already know how those turned out...

I’d say NP and Plymouth have to be the favorites right now with CMA not far behind. I’d definitely not count St Joe out yet, they always seem to turn it around the second half of the season. If NP and Plymouth end up playing I hope it’s at NP so we don’t have to listen to their PA announcer.
If NP and Plymouth end up playing I hope it’s at Plymouth so our players have somewhere to go at halftime...

My Predictions
CMA 17 Memorial 24 After watching Memorial personally, I noticed they have a ton of untapped potential and a healthy amount of speed. Might be difficult for the Eagles to stop.
Jimtown 7 Concord 14 Agreeing with Fairfield02 on this one.
Northwood 14 Northridge 10 This game could be a tossup, but I’m giving Northwood the edge simply because they are due for a decent victory. Going to be a fun one to watch.
Plymouth Wawasee Use your imagination
Warsaw Goshen See above

After watching the Ply/Mem game, I will say, Memorial has some pretty good talent. Overall it was just a sloppy game on both sides of the ball. Multiple mistakes on the Plymouth end could have easily led to the game to have the opposite outcome.

Concord 49 Goshen 7 (Concord is playing some good football this year...and Goshen just got beat pretty badly by Northwood, a team Concord was able to beat).
Wawasee 0 Northwood 45...a lopsided match-up.
Plymouth 21 Memorial 17....I actually think this one could be close. However, based on the previous weeks, Plymouth should not be picked against at this point...even though I am going to say there COULD be an upset....
Northridge 21 Warsaw 28...I feel like the Raiders might have a hard time stopping the option tonight.
I think the Rundell/Winkle factor of Plymouth will increase the margin of victory for the Memorial game.

I'll say this right now for those who haven't seen him: The Barron kid @ Plymouth is the real deal. 46 GOTW showed he makes some boy throws. Has some dudes around him too.
You’re right, Barron is good, but it’s those dudes around him that are making a major difference in the games.

Give Sagarin a few more weeks to be accurate. It doesn't truly get dialed in until sectionals.

All you New Prairie fans better hope you win because if you don’t, I don’t want to see any tails between the legs.
Also, I have yet to see anything that absolutely says that NP will win definitively. Anyone that discounts Plymouth’s passing game or defense is sorely misinformed. I just don’t want to hear any whining, crying, or complaining when the Rockies show up playing like it’s a hs sectional championship and not a pee wee league championship.
