The DB grabbed him to try to get through the pick to go cover his guy. Batesville's coach called it a mistake by the officials and should been an offensive pass interference.

 the EC game was over by halftime so I ended up watching most of the bville livestream. I had no idea there was an issue until this thread. i have no idea how bad that call was but batesville's qb's interceptions were all pretty terrible  so i'm not sure the call was the difference even if it was legitimate call.
