I will just just say this about Butler out of Iowa State, he can't catch! Lol

Indiana G Wes Martin was just taken in the 4th round by Washington.
I looked it up. Purdue's streak is at 21 years and their best chance is QB David Blough this year (From what I read).

Purdue has a streak going doesn't it?

It's ultimately just another person's judgement whether it's a Sky Judge or the main office in NYC making the call based on video. Most of them aren't as obvious as the NFC Championship game. We'll see how it's implemented but I'm guessing it will eventually be as technical as the catch rule has become. That's when people will hate it because it will either slow the game down even more or it will result in a judgement call by replay they feel is incorrect. Let's say the NFC Championship play was closer to bang-bang. Does replay make that DPI if they can stop the video 2 frames before the ball arrives and see contact? When do you define "ball arrived" if the receiver doesn't touch it? How much contact is too much? Those things are all judgement better left to the naked eye and address the 2 or 3 times per season an error of that size is made.
Understood that it is just another person's judgment, I just think the sky judge would be more efficient between the two options.

One owner made a great point about this being a slippery slope. This is the first thing that can be reviewed based on no call made on the field. I know it was a horrible call. I think there are better ways to ensure an official does not make that mistake again.
From Albert Breer on Twitter,
"Sources: The 32 head coaches crafted a proposal to add an official in the booth to oversee "clear and obvious" mistakes on DPI, OPI, roughing the passer, defenseless player rules. The HCs then voted 32-0 to present it.
NFL isn't planning a vote on it. Some coaches aren't happy."
I think this would have been a better solution.

I am guessing a LOT of bad publicity made them change their minds??? The owners were dead set against this just one day ago, according to the many "insiders" for the various networks.
I am assuming on a missed PI that is challenged, it will have to be really egregious to overturn the no call.

The owners passed a rule allowing PI calls and non PI calls to be reviewable.

Love the moves thus far. I could see Bears waiting out the market and signing Earl Thomas on the cheap
Thomas to the Ravens 4/$55m.
Colts re-sign Pierre Desir to a 3 year deal.

First Kyle Long now Mack and Back up QB Daniels restructure deals to free up 11 million more in Cap space.
Eddie Goldman as well restructured
I think that speaks volumes to the culture that Coach Nagy has created with Pace.
Exciting times.
What are they going to do with Jordan Howard?

All the teams making these big contract signings missed the playoffs. I absolutely trust Ballard to get the right guy. I know a lot of fans are upset at the lack of moves, but Ballard has preached patience the last two years. It should not be a shock.

I think that this was always the intended results of the league if it was perceived well.

Right, my only issue was that I kept seeing him going in Round 2 and some even had him in Round 1. He has a lot of potential, but he had 19 drops the last two seasons and only had a catch % of 57.3%. I always thought he would be a day 3 pick. Now he gets to learn from the great Larry Fitzgerald, which is awesome for him. As for Campbell, that is a Reich pick all the way. I am really excited to see what he can do in this offense. That Parris, Hilton combo could be deadly.
