Here is who is still playing in the NECC for Sectional round 2!  What are your thoughts and predictions? (Chart from the John Harrell page).

    Friday, Nov. 1
Marian at West Noble, 7 pm
Prairie Heights at Fairfield, 7 pm
Bishop Luers at Eastside, 7 pm

MARIAN - I really want to pick the Chargers, but I can't. I hope I'm wrong, but a great season comes to an end for the Chargers

FAIRFIELD - The Falcons are going to the sectional championship game. What a great turn around it's been this season.

EASTSIDE - Luers is a shell of what they once were. I think Eastside will get them in a close game

Here is the sectional NECC match-ups for round one.  What are your thoughts and predictions?  What's cool is that no NECC team is playing each other in round one.  I like it when it happens that way.  Chart provided by the John Harrell website.

    Friday, Oct. 25
    Angola at Leo, 7 pm
    Garrett at Jimtown, 7:30 pm
    Lakeland at Marian, 7 pm
West Noble at Glenn, 7 pm
Whitko at Prairie Heights, 7 pm
    Fairfield at Bluffton, 7 pm
Central Noble at Bishop Luers, 7 pm
    Eastside at Woodlan, 7 pm
    Southwood at Churubusco, 7 pm
Fremont at North Miami, 7 pm

LEO - It probably won't be close

JIMTOWN -  Garrett may hang with them for awhile

MARIAN - A long difficult season comes to an end for the Lakers.

WEST NOBLE - The Chargers season continues

PRAIRIE HTS - The Panthers get a rare sectional victory

    BLUFFTON - A close game

LUERS - Luers is down, but CN has no chance

EASTSIDE - Moving on to the 2nd round

SOUTHWOOD - I'm afraid Busco is running into a buzz saw

NORTH MIAMI - Tough game to call. Could go either way

    Friday, Oct. 18
    Angola at Eastside, 7 pm
    Bluffton at Lakeland, 7 pm
    Churubusco at Fairfield, 7 pm
Garrett at Central Noble, 7 pm
Prairie Heights at West Noble, 7 pm

ANGOLA - This should be a close game

BLUFFTON - Bluffton is having one of the best seasons they've had in years. Lakeland isn't. But, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Lakers get this one.

BUSCO - Fairfield will be competitive, but it won't be enough

    GARRETT - By 2 TDs

WN - In a blowout to complete their undefeated season in style

FREMONT - A major improvement by Fremont this year, and I don't know anything about Frontier

    ES - By 3 TDs

FAIRFIELD - Hats off to Coach Thacker and the Falcon staff for what they've done with that program this season.

    FREMONT - By 2 TDs

ANGOLA - Not the same Hornet team of the past few years, but after that challenging schedule to open the season they are back on track

WN - NECC game of the week.

Here are this week's games. (Chart from the John Harrell site).  What are your thoughts and predictions?

    Friday, Oct. 4
Churubusco at Central Noble ©, 7 pm
Eastside at Fremont ©, 7 pm
Fairfield at Garrett ©, 7 pm
Lakeland at West Noble ©, 7 pm
Prairie Heights at Angola, 7 pm

BUSCO - CN plays good defense, so it won't be a total blowout

    ES - By a lot

GARRETT - Toughest game to call this week. I won't be at all surprised if Fairfield wins

WN - I don't think it will be close. Lakeland's defense is very shaky

ANGOLA -  Several possible non-competitive games this week. This will be one of them.

ANGOLA - The Hornets are a much better team than the record indicates

LAKELAND - Both teams are struggling and desperately need a win. Maybe not a lot of victories left on either schedule

    ES - By a lot

    BUSCO - By a lot

WN - They are the real deal

  7. One of the most entertaining things about message boards is there is never a shortage of experts who seem to have all available knowledge about what's going on in the programs of different schools. They know what's being done, why it's being done, and what the outcome of those actions will be for the team in question. They apparently are able to attend the practices of these teams and observe and understand completely what is being taught, what is being worked on, and why.  They  are extremely familiar with the skills sets of those players. They have a clear understanding of what the short term and long term plan is for those teams. Then they are able to take all of this information, apply their own standards, and determine whether these things are acceptable. I hope some day when I grow up I'm able to accumulate so much knowledge.

  8. I remember when there used to be a lot of chatter about the NECC on this forum. Apparently interest in these schools has waned. That's too bad. I see Fairfield02 being the only poster week after week, so I thought I'd jump in and try to help keep the interest alive.

CN - I was happy to see  Coach Thacker get his 1st win last week, but I think Tipton's guys will have too much for FF to handle.

    BUSCO - Because it's Busco

RIVER VALLEY -  Wild guess based on a total lack of knowledge

LAKELAND - A PH win over Lakeland is an extremely rare event.

ST. MARY'S - They are traditionally a  Michigan power

WN - They may have something pretty good going on this year
