Early to say but here is how I would power rank that sectional at this point:

    1. Heritage Hills

    2. Memorial

    3. Gibson Southern

    4. Southridge

    5. Mater Dei

    6. Vincennes Lincoln

    7. Mt. Vernon

    8. Princeton

My Southridge friends may have to weigh in here. I don't know if they will finish that high with this group of teams. They are always well coached and get the most out of their kids.  Will have to see come the end of the season.

Considering Ben Davis and Center Grove (along with East Central) beat up Moeller in Ohio Div 1 and Moeller will play in the State Semi-Finals against Springfield for a chance to play the winner of St. Edwards vs Hilliard Bradley. Not too bad against Ohio. That being said Center Grove did get handled pretty easily by St. Edward's.

St. Edward's only blemish was a 15-13 loss to Ohio Div 2 and undefeated Massillon Washington in Massillon.

As for Kentucky Boyle County played no Indiana opponents Trinity played Carmel but it was a very down year for Carmel. One of the teams Frederick Douglas that is in the 6A semi-finals lost to Cathedral in Lexington 28-19.

I don't know that there were any meaningful Michigan vs Indiana games.

Boyle County defeated Gibson Southern in week 1

One important aspect is our starting RB/LB played 1 play (the fumble) if I recall and didn’t play offense remaining 1st qtr thru 3rd quarter. He played intermittently at LB

he finally went back in on offense in 4th qtr. Can’t recall if he had any Carries in 4th but just the sheer presence of him the the backfield took pressure off Jett and the offense started rolling again

31-28 was final. I truly think if he was healthy and played all 4 qtrs we may have had a tighter game and not had to scratch and claw our way back into it.

We are healthy this week and I presume GS is too….

I think both teams will do what they do and that is move the ball down field and in the end it will be “take aways” and the leg of the PAT/FG kickers that determine the outcome.

it would surprise me if either team gets up by 14 or more

I agree with you. This is a coin flip game. Last time i said first one to 28 may win it. Could be the same this time around.

Well since I didn't get a response in the VL/GS thread...

I will AGAIN give my congratulations to the Titans on advancing to regional play!  I know for some, a sectional championship is considered a birth right (not GS). But the Titans played their butts off for a hard fought victory and that deserves a hand shake at mid field!

As for this Saturday..I think Tri West was going to be a tall order for whomever came out of Sectional 30. And that's just my honest assessment after watching their film against Danville.  Wouldn't be surprised if GS could pull this off, but I'm gonna go with Tri West at home.

This one's for all the lug nuts!

Thank you.  It was a great game. This week is another coin flip to me.  BTW you sound like Ron White

I said that two years ago.

These comments by our fans are unwarranted and uncalled for.  He’s a good kid, didn’t work out here for him.  Why do you continue to bash him?   My name says who I am.  Call me or come talk to me about it if you have any questions.  I’m an adult.  Let’s all act like one.

Gotta remind those blasted kids being up 31-14 in the 4th with a little bit of time left on the clock, doesn’t mean the opposing team is just gonna watch the time run out. Lol

Jett is going to be fun to watch the next couple years. Very talented kid. With that being said whoever the idiots are that are (coaching or instructing) this kid to tackle/spear with his head should be ashamed. He could have bright future after high school. Kids got a cannon and the accuracy will be there down the road.

More points than I expected in this game.  Was a great game to watch.  I didn’t see what you’re referring to

I have a lot of ties to this game. Several members of their staff and I have known each other for years. I've really come to respect how their teams play, normally tons of effort. I work with a few dad with sons that will be playing Friday as well. Looking forward to a great contest.
