Just be careful. Posting rumors on this site about high school coaches and high school programs is not allowed. This does include one person’s interpretation/perspective of what may have happened.
The only exceptions include schedule and conference changes.

Everybody on your best behavior, Big Brother has joined all the fun.  5-0  is in the topic.

  2. WE have lost three games this year so far due to not having enough kids.  When we had 17 kids at practice one day. Our situation was due to not only actual Covid cases, but also the contact tracing that was occurring from the kids sitting in the classroom.  It has been a struggle but the good news is our kids are still working hard in practice and we are getting back on track hopefully.  It sucks, because we are treading on the lines of wish we could tell the kids to do blank, and that is not our place to tell kids and parents to do blank

  3. Yeah, well the state does not care about the kids.  Take a look around the state at the sectional sites for basketball.  There are hundreds of people in gyms and student sections shoulder to shoulder with no masks and we are recording video of it and posting, but hey, some football place could only be at 25% and other sports like swimming had no fans allowed at the state finals.  As long as they are making money, that is all they care about

  4. Fred F. Park Field in Bluffton, IN,-  I believe he was a coach and principal if I remember correctly.

J.M. McKeand in Shelbyville,IN-  I believe was a very successful coach and maybe one of the best.  If we can ever get field turf,  I think it would pay some great respect to Pat Parks to name field after him since he was here for almost 30 years.  I have great respect for that man.

  5. Amazing how some people have no clue how tough these kids are.  They have not quit one time this year and going into sectional, they won't start now. These are still kids we are talking about.  I know it gives some people a chance to come on here and bash kids and point out their flaws.  These kids work hard, these kids fight.  But the people in charge of this thing has his boys and they are allowed to say whatever they want.  I am proud of them because they believe in each other when everyone else does not.  That is what football is really about, the family around you .

  6. The main issue is just like there are some coaches who take getting on the officials too far, there are officials who take finding every possible reason to throw a flag.  For instance, we found a play last year where the official was literally staring  at one of our coaches who was in charge of signal calling and he was in the box calling it and he stared at him the whole time he was signaling. We had not addressed the ball yet, we had not snapped the ball yet ,  and after our coach was done signaling the play before the ball was snapped, had stepped back to where he was suppose to be,  and the official throws a flag and gives us a sideline warning.   The crazier part about that was it was the 3rd play of the game.  We read the rule and made sure we were not just going insane .  So, the reason I make this example is for the reason of there has got to be discussion between the coaches association and the officials associations because when a coach has an issue, he should be able to address that issue and get communication back instead of hey, here is a flag, just deal with it. It is more frustrating at the lower levels like JV and freshman, because you get nothing explained to you. Communication is the key and when there is none, coaches get frustrated.
