Why do the River Rats snub the Hoosier? : https://www.jconline.com/story/sports/2020/08/19/seniors-look-add-own-part-west-lafayette-football-tradition/3398707001/
Would you rather have a sectional, regional, semi-state, or state championship or a Hoosier conference championship? like one of the kids said, it's a culture to expect to peak and win in the post season. How many 9-1, 10-1, or 11-1 teams would trade that conference championship to hoist a trophy up and play in November? With the addition of LCC to the Hoosier conference I know WL has lost to them and gone on to win Sectional, regional and Semi-state championships. Many times those losses expose weaknesses that get shored up in time to make those playoff runs.

I would like to better understand "how 28 got drawn" - probably just my ignorance, but it seems there is an implication here....
The Tri West AD served on the 3A alignment comittee! Probably should have worried about what his HC was doing more than trying to weasel their way into an easier sectional!

I will say though... I'm REALLLLLLLYYYYYY confused that Tri-West Hendricks is in a Southern Indiana sectional (29) and Chatard is in a Northern Sectional (28). The most basic division of a fair alignment method is the north/south line. That line should run straight EAST<->WEST through the middle of Indiana and divide 32 northern teams from 32 southern teams.
Here are the GPS coordinates of Chatard HS:
39.8618038 N 86.128051 WHere are the GPS coordinates of Tri-West Hendricks HS:
39.877131 N 86.5442741 WSo....
Chartard is in a northern sectional (#28) but geographically should be in the south.
Tri-West Hendricks is in a southern sectional (#29) but geographically should be in the north. This would appear to be a "fail" at the most basic level and makes me question the faith that I developed in the process last time.
Take a look the board that helped put the sectionals together and you will get your answer.

So North Miami out of the TRC---Northwestern in?
Logan would make 9 if they were admitted and NW is out. Not sure that's the best set up for the HC. Logan is a better option than NW on a football schedule at least.
