Keeping your starters in on offense and defense after half when your up 48 to 0? Or 55-0?

An athlete is only allowed five quarters of football a weekend. So let’s do the math Ultimate. If Pioneer takes their starters out after half who goes in? Pioneer doesn’t have 70+ kids standing on the sideline so that leaves the JV. So you want them to use two quarters of their five to save the confidence of their opponent? Stay with me here, and then they have a whole JV game which consists of wait... four quarters. Shocking I know. So if they played two on Friday and four on Saturday that’s six my friend. Which is illegal. So not only is it illegal but it’s needed for conditioning purposes. It’s not like Berry says let’s get a 100 on the board either, it appears to me as that is when he switches things up and try’s out new things. He puts the Vontoble kid at QB and Wireman at Fullback. It would be different if they did all this and then lost in sectionals or regionals but they don’t. They win, and they are dang good at it. What was it 66-0 in a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP?

Feel so bad for senior Chris Smith last year and feel bad for Hunter Schanlaub this year. Both good players and good kids.

I heard Caston was up two scores fumbled on WC goal line and WC got it back and drove it down field and scored...and Caston had a shot at end.

Ill always wonder... What the HNAC would be like if North White and West Central accepted out of gate to come along with Caston, Pioneer and Winamac to join Culver, Judson and Knox.

    Schanlaub??? What’s wrong with him?

    Greetings To One And All!

Hard to believe that we are 1/3 of the way through the 2019 season.

    Week #3 Involving HNAC Teams.

    What Say You?

    Friday, Sep. 6
Caston at Triton ©, 7 pm
Knox at Culver ©, 7:30 pm
North Judson at North Newton, 8 pm
Pioneer at LaVille ©, 7:30 pm
Winamac at North White, 7 pm

as always, the game is better

    from_the_sidelines007

Caston & Triton: Caston lost another starting offensive line man. Triton’s pass rush isn’t like Judson (which ate Caston alive). Triton looked flustered against LaVille but LaVille is really good so take it how you want. Caston has to get Schanlaub and Smith the ball in order to be successful. Caston 28-27

Knox & Culver: Culver put up 52 points. I understand Knox is tough but I think Culver makes this closer then what people give the, credit for. Knox 42-33

Judson & Newton: North Judson wins another but it should be closer then last week. Judson 35-28

Pioneer & LaVille: LaVille is the second best team in the Confrence. But number one is the same team that it has been for as long as the HNAC has been around and it’s the team they play this week. Pioneer is still number one don’t think it changes this year either.

Winamac & North White: Winamac doesn’t find the win column this week. North White 28-16

    Needs a change?

The class of 18 won 2 games in middle school (both in 7th grade)

The class of 19 won 1 game in middle school (7th grade)

The class of 20 didn't win a single game.

most fans realized these last 3 seasons were coming and would be much different from '12-'16. .. And they are.

They won 4 games in 17. (Would be 5 but AD messed up paper work on kid... Who went down and back on kick off twice and possibly a 6th but Rogers missed the LaVille game.)

They won 5 games in 18.

This season they should beat North White, West Central and Caston. Theyve got good chances against North Judson, Culver and Triton.

They start 5 sophomores on offense, 3 of those kids plus two more sophomores start on defense.  They are an extremely young team currently. Theyll return 8 starters on offense next year and 8 on defense too.

Im also almost certain that the McIntire catch led to a TD in the 2nd half.

Again. If Winamac was in shambles, they would have been outgained by more than 103 yards and Knox would have 10 or 11 more first downs then Winamac instead of only 2 more.

Winamac at this point is in much better shape then they were a year ago.

Winamac's year to beat Knox will come in 2021.

    It’s a good thing this isn’t 2021 isn’t it. It’s 2019

Games involving Hoosier North Athletic Conference this Friday?

Have any thoughts, picks, or rants . . .  now's your chance!

    Friday, Aug. 30
Caston at North Judson ©, 7:30 pm
Culver at South Central, 7:30 pm
    Knox at Rochester, 7:30 pm
Pioneer at Winamac ©, 7 pm
Triton at LaVille ©, 7 pm

Caston & Judson: Caston lost a starting offensive Lineman to an ACL tear and it will be tough seeing as Judson has a good defensive line. But Judson doesn’t have a DB that can match up to Schanlaub. It should be a really good game. Caston 30-28

Culver & SC: Ditmire had 35 carries!! I think as long as they continue to give him the ball they keep winning. They gotta fix the turnover issue though. Culver 35-21

Knox & Rochester: Isaiah Jackson being out hurts Rochester and Knox having a ton of momentum I think they roll the Zebras. Knox 33-18

Pioneer & Winamac: If Winamac can shake out of what ever funk they were in they should score but if they play like they did last week Pioneer shuts them out. Pioneer 48-0

LaVille &  Triton: Still don’t know much about Triton, but everything I’ve heard is that they should have lost last Friday. I heard LaVille doesn’t look like last year but still played well. LaVille 38-18

Oh boy.  Pass heavy teams in 1A don't usually have the skill players to make it effective and efficient consistently for 4 quarters.  Good luck!

The Schanlaub kid that played QB last year moved to WR and is a big target, Rock-Wolf should have a big year catching the ball. Smith and Hickle are pretty solid backs that should rotate and get lots of yards once everything gets opened up. They have some other young kids who will play some Receiver. I was surprised when they came out in it at the scrimmage. They looked really good against Tri-County. But at the same time Tri-County’s Defense wasn’t the best. So we should get a better look at what they can do this week.

With Castons new offense West Central won’t be ready, Caston by 2 touchdowns

Knox will have the biggest win in the HNAC this week, Knox by 4 scores
