Laville can pass the ball!
West Lafayette I would say could pass the ball but Cass still managed to get multiple INTs on them. I have to feel that West Lafayette's QB is better than LaVille's.

how was crowd?
I was also at this game, the crowd was very large. It was a great atmosphere all game long. One of the better games I have been to.

Bombers welcomed back QB Eli Hickman last week as he can be seen all over the Hudl/Maxpreps Game Recap. Great to see him back as he has been pesky waiting this injury out
With all due respect to North Newton and Boone Grove, in the potential match up with Andrean, does this now make Bombers the favorite?

Well aware. I was defending the fact that he said Pioneer was screwed.
Injuries were the reason that Pioneer lost, plain and simple.
I don’t know that you can say injuries are the only reason why Pioneer lost, Cass I’d say is a better team

Good luck to all Hoosier Conference teams this Friday and throughout the tournament. Hopefully long runs and the conference gets some more hardware!

Just curious ...
Which team has a better strength of schedule?
Which team is the healthiest?
as always, the game is better
from_the_sidelines007
As far as my knowledge both teams are healthy

This game is going to be one of the biggest in Cass County in recent memory. Going to be a tough game and a lot of fun!

4A it is my friend. Thanks.
Any other takers willing to grade 1/2/3A?
I can give 2A a shot if needed.

I think Lewis Cass put 2A on notice tonight with their win against defending 3A state champs West Lafayette. One of the best teams in the state regardless of class. Nobody in 2A will be that good of a team throughout, but that’s why you play the game

I think I speak for everyone when I say I am absolutely stunned that Cass just beat WL for the championship!

Owens memorial field is going to be PACKED for that opening round game

I believe that KINGFAN is talking chatter on here. Unless, he is clueless to the polls.
I understand they are number 1 in polls, I meant in the chat in here. Everyone is hyping up Pioneer (who lost to Cass) and Western Boone (who lost to Western, which CASS just beat). Yet nobody mentions Cass in 2A.

I luv great D.... and I became a fan of the Kings when I watched that Andrean game yrs ago .... what was it...6-OTs ? Impressive!....no one thout they had a prayer.... mayb they can do it again???
I remember that game like it was yesterday lol. 6 OT, I was a freshman on that team and if we had a kicker could of won it. Granted if we won we’d of played Jaylon Smith his senior year, but that would have been an experience. Year in and year out D is our focus though.

It's interesting from a sag accuracy standpoint... sag has WL by 13.5 .... call it 2 tds..... SA and Cass r neck and neck in sag..... WL 50 - Lcc 0........ WL 44 - RC 6 ...... Lcc 20- RC 17 ...... I think it would b impressive if the Kings can meet or beat the spread.... or even....keep it at 3 tds or less......
Cass has had a great defense all year long (last week was definitely their biggest challenge). I feel like if they play 4 quarters of defense the way they played in the 3rd vs Western they could keep it competitive.

Depends ... how would you say Cass matches up with RCHS? I think Cass may last longer in the first half than others, although RCHS gave West Lafayette a game in the first half, but the second half is where they can just take off.
I think if Cass is in the game at half, they have the ability to keep it close. They were down to Western last week who is a bigger team (understandably not the same talent) but came out in the second half and beat up on Western. If they can keep it close like that game, they have a great second half chance to keep it close.

Absolutely Lewis Cass should be mentioned in the 2A discussion BUT they will have to beat Pioneer a second time in their sectional and that will be a very tall order to do...I’m thinking there will be quite a few Cass fans pulling for them to beat Pioneer a second time (you know...new blood in Indy) if they end up playing each other again...
I completely agree. I think it will be a great matchup if they face each other in sectionals. Both teams have improved as the season has gone on, but I feel Cass may have the edge with their strength of schedule preparing them for sectionals.

Pioneer vs Lewis Cass Round 2 will be a war!
No doubt it will be. Two teams who don’t like each other and will be playing for ending the others season. Two strong senior classes with both.

What’s the thoughts about Friday’s match up of #1s with West Lafayette coming to Walton to take on Cass? Does anybody think Cass keeps it close or is it over before the start?
-
Going to be a big game in Walton this week with battle of #1s in 2A vs #1 in 3A.
-
I know I’m a bit biased but how is nobody talking about Cass in 2A? I have yet to see anybody mention them to rep the North. I see people mention Pioneer (who already lost to Cass) and Western Boone (who lost to a Western team Cass just beat). Like I said, I know I’m biased but they have got talent all over the field, and are currently undefeated but nobody mentions them.
