first half red zone possession that ended in a FG looks like inside zone from the 7 that #20 bounced outside (but he's so damn fast he got back) to the two.  Then the jet sweep pass to #3 who tried to make very hard cut upfield and his knee went down untouched.  Third down bootleg pass should have been picked off.

off topic of what you are talking about, your son man on man. a STUD to say the least. Kid is fast, hits hard and just knows the game of football. He was dominant on defense, had 1 INT but was a finger tip away from another one in the endzone. But what impressed me even more was his ability to block. To see a secondary defensive player go on the offensive side and make KEY blocks was pretty impressive. The play i remeber the most is him driving Cathedrals OLB to new pal sideland , actually to the track!!!!

@Coach Nowlin, myself, and the entire GID thank you for the $50 donation you will be giving. I always smile when I see people willing to give up easy money..

Will not run away from my bet. I am completely shocked with the outcome of the game. Honestly going into halftime with the score 10-7 i felt confident. The game changer in this game was not going for it on NP 3 yard line, missing the field goal, then NP gets the ball at the 25.... i did not know they moved the ball to the 25. NP coaching staff completely out coached Cathedral staff from halftime and on. Embarrassing for cathedral fans.

Congrats to New Pal and I see no one coming close to beating them this year, with that being said, after this year they will be in the rebuilding process. But who knows maybe they have another 19 year old star that is going to transfer!!! It would  have been a better game if Cathedral was able to play Markese Stepp tonight who is younger than Speigal... lol just kidding. Hats off to the dragons. Hope for games like tonight in the future. Nothing beats Friday Night lights!

You don't need to send spies to practice to get game film.

I think New Pal's schedule allows them to run some Cathedral stuff at their kids during practice throughout the season, while Cathedral had to focus on the next game.  Did Ralph tell his team it was a Cathedral session? I don't know.  But, what I do know, is the guy has lost 4 games in his career so he's no dummy.

I would expect him to lose more than 4 games with how weak the schedule is lolololol

I wouldn’t get silly. New Pal has athletes too. They will be well prepared. One thing cathedral has not seen this year is a string physical RB like Spegal. They have seen some very good and fast RB’s but Spegal is not like the TB’s they have seen. They will have to play their best for sure!

talking about spegal... is it true he is 19 and almost 20?.... just the word on the street, not saying it is true or not just wondering lol.

i heard he was not going to be able to run track due to his age qualification.

“Hasn’t seen a team with this many athletes” *New Pal played Center Grove week 2*

i really would not say Center Grove is an athletic football team... and if they are to you then okay... 1 game out of many they have played. Cathedral has things new pal has not seen while cathedral has seen everything New Pal has plus more.

Do not try and argue that.

Which has produced 2 state championships and a runner up in the last 6 years.

you're right! Congrats to New Pal on their tremendous success!

At the end of the day it is a new year.

Everyone in the state wants Cathedral to get beat because who does not hate cathedral? Honestly? People hate greatness. BEST OF LUCK to both teams this friday, as this will go down as the most hyped up game this year. This game kind of reminded me in 2017 when Roncalli had all the hype behind them and went up against cathedral.

That being said New Pal is a better team then roncalli.

I still have a lot of confidence in the Irish this week , New Pal has not seen a team with this many athletes. No doubt about that.

    prediction

    Irish 35

    Dragons 21

Quite a few that play both ways.  We have a very physical group.  I don't see it being a big issue.   And I'm not saying we will out physical Cathedral by any stretch.  But don't look for New Pal to wear down, as I don't expect the Irish will either.  I was honestly very surprised that we wore down Center Grove in the 4th quarter.  But then again I'd hate to be a DL or LB and have to tackle Spegal for 4 quarters.  I know its cliche but I very much believe whoever controls the line of scrimmage better wins.  I expect an instant classic.

i agree. Whoever controls the line wins.
