Finally, if you're going to fake an account, maybe talk about the team you purportedly support other than when, you know, they play Merrillville.  Or when you're conveniently at a Merrillville game IN Chesterton when your team "4 life" was playing at home 30 min down the road.

You'd make a crappy double agent.

    1. I’m not a double agent.
    2. my step son plays for Chesterton and is a senior so I wanted to watch his last game. While my son is a sophomore  at Andrean.
    3. the stats above being I was there. Merrillville had 2 fumbles. 1int but the also had 3-4 Turnover on downs. I consider those turnovers. So that’s 6-7 turnovers right there

They get two attempts the same way Merrillville had six turnovers Friday when they literally had one lost fumble and one INT according to Merrillville's own reported stats.

So are not conceding on 4 downs not turnovers? Because they didn’t convert on 4th down 3-4 times in that game. My step son helped shut down there RB Justin Marshall we held him To the lowest total in his high school football career I believe

Can’t wait for the state trip!!! And merrillville just became the most underranked 5A team. Smart coaching doing what they did. They look weak when really they aren’t.

Just saw.  Merrillville’s B game should be enough to beat Chesterton though.

No shame in losing to them I guess but by 25 damn points?  Wow.

Don’t let him lie to you. It wasn’t even the B team. I went to the game.

there varsity was tied with them at end of 1st half. Then merrillville came out and took a 10-7 lead in 3rd. And then after that they subbed 7 freshman in on defense. So the defense had people who hadn’t played varsity all year. And there offense wasn’t all out of wack. They had 5 turnovers I believe and Chesterton got points on all of them I believe

Andrean is too low even with out the QB we are top 15 in state.

    merrillville should be top 7

    penn is to low!
    fw snider to low

and DC is too high. Should be around 20

Agreed Cody#2. It's just Munster. But, LC's offense and especially Xavier Williams looked dialed in. I was impressed. Maybe they'll come back down to earth against Providence Catholic. I was intrigued by the Good hire from the get go. Looking forward to seeing if he can get LC over .500 this year.

Isn’t that the coach that came from calumet? And I’m not cody. The name is Ryan

I'm still shaking my head at the LHS-CP game.  I knew the Red Devils are down, but I wasn't expecting them to get skunked, although I must give the Dogs their props.  Onto the CP-Andrean game, the Nines only scored a touchdown, right?  Sure it came against Merrillville, and although I know football is not transitive, I still like CP, 31-14.  As for Lowell-Portage, RDP 24-10.

Btw Lowell plays Laporte not portage

Just the guy you said you talked to in a completely different thread.

I don’t know him by his last name? If your talking about cody?

Andrean didn’t even score. We had a pick 6. They held us to like 50 yards…

Just to be clear. We’re talking about Scott Ballantine, right? Threw for nearly 3,000 yards last year and was QB1 for the State Champions. He’s not better than his backup? You can’t be serious. @Piratefan101you still agree with @Andrean4life? One slow start against a D starting 9 D1 recruits and he’s already yesterdays news? C’mon, James Banks in his prime couldn’t handle the Bucs D!

I didn’t say he wasn’t better? I said he didn’t preform better that game. The backup did do better that game. In no way shape or form am I saying he is T better. All I said is in 1 game he did better. And he looked good out there. Poised under pressure. I just don’t think we lose anything but leadership. The kid is a freshman

    Who is parkhurst?

You did look at stats and saw the backup did better than the starter right?

For 1 game. Don’t think just because of 1 game he is better. But he did do better that game!

Interesting take. I have to think Niner fans won't be as optimistic considering they lost QB1 and Crown Point absolutely demolished a peer of the '59'ers. What say you @Andrean4life? Do you agree with Parkhurst?

This is interesting. Losing the starter is definitely big. But the backup stepped in and as he said did better than the starter. Bowen was held in check by speed of there defense. I believe we are gonna be a more potent run attack against crown point. I’m not gonna say we win. But I do think crown point is over hyped from the Lowell game. They have a big line which will cause issues but only player to be concerned with is the RB for them. We have some speed to contain him. Unlike Lowell. But I will go out in a limb and say next week crown point isn’t in that game with merrillville. Merrillville offense played horrible and still beat us by 20. They also left another 14-17 points on the field in my opinion. But I do believe crown point is overhyped and everyone is running off the buzz name. We beat them last year. Same team for them just had more time with there coach. I expect them to be better. But we will see. I don’t think they can stop Bowen (if he plays) may not play. And Patrick clacks has speed that they couldn’t stay in front of last year.

If they have five quality athletes at running back that can contribute at the varsity level, their coaching staff’s head needs examined.

    Are you Cody’s burner account?

We got dominated tonight. And they had 5 RBs that all had positive yardage they all run different. We lost our QB and I think we had less than 100 yards of total offense. There defense is the real deal. At least the best I have seen them have last 4 years. Think they had 13 sacks. 2 ints and 3 fumble recoveries. We didn’t cross the 50 on our own all night. 😒

can we block cody from this page. Please he gonna roast me

I don't hate Merrillville by any means.  These are high school kids, lol.

That being said, any opportunity to see Parkhurst with more egg on his face garners my rooting interest.

    Merrillville is supposed to win...

Tbh I was just talking to him. He is actually more down to earth than most think. He knows this is there hardest game all season. And he said they will have a rough time stopping Bowen early on. And I agreed. But I’m not sure we can stop Marshall and there 5RBs either. They used them all with varsity in scrimmage and all are juniors and seniors

Never thought I’d find myself rooting for a parochial/private over a public but here we are.

    Go 59ers!

Thanks!!! But did someone make you hate merrillville that much. Talent level is close. We have more returning players than they do from last season. Except most of ours is returning on offense. But we missing 5 on defense. While they return half the offense. And all of there defense outside there NT grant! It’s gonna be intresting. Last few years they have won because of depth. We can go 2 deep. They can go 3-4 deep at some positions.

Hello all and here is to another great and SAFE football season.

I know many many years ago there was a prep football report on tv with Wayne (I can’t recall his last name).  Is that on anymore?  Is there another one?

I live in PA now but would like to watch it.

    Only online on Friday nights

Just so we are being completely clear here, we have a poster claiming that a 5A school boasts NINE D1 football players on its roster…

If true, just cancel the season.  No one has a prayer.

For comparison’s sake, Center Grove I believe had 7 last year and was universally viewed as a top 10 team nationally.

Talent doesn’t always win the games. Us at Andrean have 3 all on defense. Coaching is a big part of it and you could give us merrillville schedule last year and this year and we would roll all the way to semi state no issues. Coaching is there flaw. He is region good and northern indiana good. But he isn’t Indy coaching good

  15. 5 minutes ago, Piratefan101 said:

And what if they had them before they came to merrillville program 🤷🏻‍♂️ We had 3 on ours. And the rest were transfers 🤷🏻‍♂️And I did share them

Unfortunately I can say 1 transfer came from us in trey. He got offered a week before he transferred to merrillville. It’s out on social. And they got a DE from westside that has a offer from a MAC school! I know of 3 on defense and 2 on offense. Different players!! But I can’t wait for the niners to roll them Friday!
