I've seen some mock drafts with him projected to go first round in 2024....he will have some options once his football career is finished...but that might be a little ways down the road.

MHS vs. Whiteland...who wins?
Whiteland.

Whiteland rolls as long as they get off the bus ready to play. There are FIVE Mid-State teams superior to Castle.
I agree. The hardest part of the night for Whiteland may be the bus ride to and from the game.

I think its apples to oranges there. This Valpo team is much more physical and better coached than that Chesterton team and just held on offense with at least 2 D1 skill players to 14 points. Add in the fact that Lutheran runs an offense that DAC teams see every week as opposed to the Wing-T (with two kids that run 4.4 at wingback I might add). Maybe I was being slightly hyperbolic, but BTF's 80% confidence mark seems accurate. Obviously this is all a big credit to Lutheran for building a 1A program where we can even have a debate like this.
Sagarin also would have Lutheran favored vs Warren, Fishers, New Pal, Chatard, WL, etc... I mean let's be real here I think their Sagarin rating is a little over-inflated.
Maybe so....they beat a team playing in 3A SS this week 52-6...I think they can punch above their weight class. Guess it's all speculative though. I would take them 1-3A to be competitive. Winning both 1A and 2A. 3A punchers chance vs Chatard and WL.

Agree. I'm not betting my mortgage, but I'm 80% confident Valpo wins that game.
No dog in this fight, but Sagarin seems to think Lutheran would be ~11 point favorite on a neutral field. Seems to be right more then not.

AC Stevens is back now? My cousin's kid goes to DC and told us he had actually quit the team a while back?
For Franklin, the Johnson County paper said their older QB got hurt in sectional game last week. Know that they have played two QBs this year, so not sure what that does to them for Whiteland and who is playing.
He was hurt. He is back now.
-
I know Aycen Stevens is back for DC now, who has been hurt most of the year. He could be a game changer for a tourney run.

I predict one of these 4 teams will be representing the South at LOS. I think Whiteland is the best of the 4.

Honestly curious as to why you continue to stay so high on Cathedral?

Give me Snider for 5A though. 5A is down a good amount in central Indy this year.

Favorable or not that's still a gauntlet, would much rather be in the northern half of the bracket at this juncture. However, Brownsburg does have the horses to navigate it.
Absolutely. I'll go out on a not so scary limb and say next weeks regional match-up between sectionals 3&4 for the North is for a ticket to LOS.
-
I'm going to assume that Coach Gibson will be the first call for many programs this off-season. What a spectacular job he has done.
-
Don't want to speak too soon here, but Brownsburg has a favorable path from here moving forward. If/when they beat Avon @Avon this Friday they will get to play on their home field for the remainder of the tourney on their way to LOS if both Cathedral and CG continue to advance. Warren may be the only team who throws a wrench in the home field advantage.

Mooresville would be more of a contender in 5A this year. Their sectional is brutal.
Franklin 28-17
Mooresville 31-14
Whiteland 35-7
Plainfield 21-17
Also, Whiteland is the heavy favorite to win 5A currently(according to sagarin). I think Franklin or Whiteland is the team who will represent the south in 5A

Whiteland has the momentum thus far in Conference. Are they poised for a state championship run?
Is Mooresville a contender in 4a? I think we find out that answer Friday.

Brownsburg is 3-0 and beat your current #67 team in the nation yet they remain unranked? Interesting

The Mid-State is represented well in this weeks IFCA Coaches Poll.
5A #1- Whiteland
5A #5- Franklin
5A #8- Decatur Central
4A #3- Mooresville
4A #10- Martinsville
This weeks match ups:
DC (1-2 0-1) @ Martinsville (3-0 1-0)- DC will be Martinsville toughest test to date. DC has lost some major players to injury but still think they pull out a win. DC 24-21
Greenwood (1-2 0-1) @ Mooresville (3-0 1-0). Mooresville will have JV in for the 4th quarter. Mooresville 49-14
Plainfield (0-3 0-1) @ Perry (1-2 0-1) Plainfield gets in the win column. Plainfield 24-14
Franklin (3-0 1-0) @ Whiteland (3-0 1-0)- Class 5A #1 vs #5. Huge implications on the conference race. Still a firm believer that a Mid-State team will be representing 5A South at Lucas Oil. Franklin has entered that discussion and this is a prove it game for them. Whiteland 28-24

What ranking system are you using? I see on MaxPreps Brownsburg is #74 and highest ranked in Indiana.

Will the Whiteland - Decatur game have a large impact on conference champion? I think this year with how tough the mid state potentially is, that you could win conference title with 1 loss.
I could see a multiple way split if Mooresville or Franklin come wrecking a party. Right now it appears Whiteland has the hot hand and is the team to beat. Mooresville and DC are going to have a say in it as well.

We'll get a preview of those two on Friday. Will also be able to gauge Harrison somewhat based on Whiteland and DC's performance against Plainfield.
A close game with Plainfield isn't a promising sign for Harrison to compete with DC or Whiteland.
