Power Rankings
1. Whiteland (2-0)
2. DC (1-1)
3. Mooresville (2-0)
4. Franklin (2-0)
5. Martinsville (2-0)
6. Plainfield (0-2)
7. Perry (1-1)
8. Greenwood (1-1)
Whiteland @ DC- Is New Pal THAT good or is DC overrated? I think it could be a combination of both (and the fact 5A is down this year). Whiteland looks to stay hot. High likelihood these teams meet up in the playoffs. Whiteland 31-24
Mooresville @ Plainfield- Mooresville 35-17
Martinsville @ Greenwood- Greenwood gets knocked off last week by Indian Creek while Martinsville handled Bloomington South. Martinsville 28-14
Perry @ Franklin- Coll appears to have Franklin back in contention for the Mid-State after a solid win over Mt. Vernon. Franklin 35-17

DC @ New Pal- New Pal handled a very good Westfield team last week. New Pal a 4A top contender vs imo the 5A top contender. Give me New Pal 35-17
LN @ Whiteland- Whiteland handled business last week. Look for a tougher game here but the Warriors to take it in a close one. Whiteland 28-24
Danville @ Mooresville- Danville gets its second Mid-State opponent in a row. Look for this one to get ugly. Mooresville 49-14
Mt. Vernon @ Franklin- Franklin steps up its competition after handling Danville last week. Mt. Vernon went to the wire with 6A Noblesville. Mt Vernon 35-24
Plainfield @ Harrison- Should be a close one. Harrison 24-21
Bloomington South @ Martinsville- Bloomington South too much to handle. BS 35-14
Indian Creek @ Greenwood- Casey Gillin will have IC back, but not yet. Greenwood 28-21
Southport @ Perry- Perry looking to win its first game since last September. Perry 35-24

That's fair. I don't think anyone is doubting Warren can win, we'll see if 11 was too much tonight. I try to keep the spreads interesting.
What would you create the spread at? Just curious
I would have CG -3.5

Hoping you all can help settle an argument I'm having with a coworker. At one point someone posted the all-time winning percentages by program. Does anyone have access to this info? If so, you'll settle a small squabble between a Hobart Brickie and a Chatard Trojan.
Found from 1984 to now-
Indpls. Chatard 368- 119 .756
Hobart 316-143 .688

I did this last year for most weeks and it seemed to generate some good discussion so I've decided to bring it back for this season. I know some people frowned upon the idea of creating fake point spreads for high school games, but I truly don't see the harm in it and think it gets people excited about games.
For those who aren't familiar with spreads, I will provide an example: Indiana at Purdue(-10). This is saying that Purdue would be favored by 10 points. It could also be written as Indiana(+10) at Purdue. If Purdue were to win by more than 10 points, they would "cover". If Indiana loses by less than 10 or wins outright, they would cover. If Purdue wins by exactly 10, it would be called a "push". "PK" is slang for "pick 'em, meaning there is no point spread and the teams are considered to have an equal chance of winning.
Feel free to let me know what you think about some of these spreads or drop your picks for some of the games. It's week 1 so bear with me, a lot of these teams I do not have much info on besides how they did last season. There are tons of great games this week so some are going to get left out. This is just for fun, any input is appreciated.

Didn't Plainfield's QB transfer over the summer? Who is taking over?
They did but have a Jr qb taking over who should do well.

Cathedral is going to have to call the dogs off after halftime. Cathedral 49-14

DC @ Columbus North- DC is the favorite to win the Mid-State and make a strong run to LOS. Give me DC 35-15
Martinsville @ BNL- The wells will be too much to handle for BNL. Arties 42-13
Franklin @ Danville- Franklin and Coach Coll looking to rebound from last year. Tough 3A team in Danville. Franklin starts off in the win column. Franklin 21-13
Greenfield Central @ Plainfield- Plainfield has the skill position players and a couple playmakers on both sides of the ball. Has the line developed? Will determine their season. Plainfield 24-14
Seymour @ Greenwood- Should be a competitive game and a much easier test to open with compared to last year for Greenwood. Greenwood 27-21
Whiteland @ CE- Whiteland seems to be in the mix with DC and Mooresville for the Mid-State Conference and the spot to represent the 5A south come Thanksgiving weekend. Whiteland 35-24
Perry @ FC- Will Perry turn it around to be able to compete in the MSC? Not enough to handle FC. FC 42-14
Bloomington North @ Mooresville- This is the game of the week in my opinion. Good opening test for a 4A program. Very tough sectional for the Pioneers with the eventual winner of that sectional having a great shot to make it to LOS. Mooresville 24-21

I still think 5A South is pretty weak that I'd be willing to say it will be either Whiteland or DC coming out of the South. DC is 2 years away from being VERY good.
