3 Reported IHSAA sideline issues is very concerning.
Does sound like the new coach has a re-build project on his hands.
With his college experience I wonder if he will use any of those contacts to put together a coaching staff.
Any word on the Wawasee job?
I believe they are down the final 2-3 people. Should be announced in the next week or two

People may know more than I do but I'm not so sure it was on the sidelines as much as it was off the field. All a great bunch of dudes. Very loyal to Wogs and their program.
They had 3 ISHAA reports for issues on the sidelines during games. Does not mean they are not great guys but the new coach is going to have to rebuild the entire coaching staff as well.

I was told that no members that Wogoman brought with him from Northridge are allowed to come back. Apparently, there was some issues on sidelines with them.

Goshen was the only school to not field a true freshman team last year.

Goshen is hiring former Saint Joe quarterback Joey Hecklinski as its new head football coach, pending school board approval on Monday.
Hecklinski has been a college assistant for several years, most recently serving as quarterbacks coach and then running backs coach at Ball State.
He recently got married and become a father and is eager to be closer to family here in Michiana. He will be a teacher at the school, beginning in the next few weeks. He comes from a long family line of great coaches in multiple sports.
In 2007, he was the starting quarterback as he led Saint Joe to the state finals.
Great hire for Goshen as they land a college football assistant coach as their new head coach. -
Wawasee still has the position open for another week or two then the interview process will begin.

I know that Goshen is down the final 4.
Wawasee still has the position posted and has not started interviews yet.

I would think schools like Wawasee, Goshen, Elkhart would have more resources (athletes, facilities, money, coaching and teaching salary) than Fairfield.
Wawasee Administration has not invested in Athletic resources since it turfed the football field (2018). It is a constant battle asking for even the little things like Hudl Focus (only NLC team that does not have it). The only thing we do have going is one of the highest teachers salaries in the state.
Hopefully Coach Osmialowski applies for this as he is a big reason of the turn around this season.

Some thoughts on the NLC next year. I think next year we will see completely different teams in the NLC next year outside of Warsaw. NorthWood / Mishawaka / Northridge will be losing a lot of their star players. Mishawaka is going to be dealing with a lot of young guys on the line as well as a new quarterback to run that offense. NorthWood is losing...to be frank...everyone...all of their skill players outside of their running back is graduating. Most of their line is graduating...their DB's are graduating. I don't know what to expect from NW next year and they will look completely different. Northridge has a quarterback with some playing time coming back and a sold running back coming back, however, they too are losing a lot. Goshen..who knows what is happening with that program. Wawasee...i don't know a lot about their program, however, they made improvements this past year. Plymouth will be the most improved in my opinion. They were a young team and the guys coming up had more success in their younger years. Concord will be much better next year and will compete for the title next year. Warsaw...they will hands down be the best team in the NLC...they were young this year, and were the cream of the crop. I would even go as far in saying I believe they will make noise in the tournament next year.
My way too early guess for next year:
Warsaw
Concord
Northridge
Mishawaka
NorthWood
Plymouth
Wawasee
Goshen
We had a strong senior group of skill position that we will miss but we have majority of our line and have a solid group of younger skill guys that will compete coming back. Also, we installed a new offense and defense last year and as we grow into it we will only get better. We were forced to play a lot of younger guys this season and get them valuable playing time which should only help us this coming year.

This is going to be a shot.
Sectional 1: Jeff. CP. Valpo (if they have higher enrollment) and LC
Sectional 2: Nothing changes Penn, Elkhart, Carroll, Warsaw
Sectional 3: Snider, Fishers, HSE and Homestead
Sectional 4: Carmel. Westfield. Noblesville and Zionsville
Sectional 5, 6, 7 & 8 nothing changes. I think the two schools that get moved up replace teams already in the North. Portage and Northrop.
From the enrollment numbers I have seen Warsaw appears to be dropping to 5A next year.

Really doesn't seem like a bad idea for Penn to go independent and CMA take their place. Unfortunately I have no idea why the Penn coaching staff is "into" winning the NIC. 9 times out of 10 they should be able to win it just by rolling out of bed. Not much of an accomplishment for the Kingsmen if you ask me.
A conference of: New Prairie, Marian, St. Joe, CMA, Riley, Adams, Washington, Elkhart. Doesn't get me too excited but it is a hell of a lot better than with the Kingsmen there. And on any given year 3 or 4 teams are going into the season thinking they can win it; which makes it way more exciting.
But you have to look at all the sports as a whole. If they go independent that puts a huge strain on the Athletic Department for every sport, (not just football) which I am not sure they would do that. Not saying its not possible (Center Groove) but they have a lot more options being closer to Indy.

I heard there are a few players living in the Goshen District but attending either Northwood or Northridge.
We have some of that in Elkhart with kids going to Concord and Northridge
Yes, I would say a good chunk of kids attend Fairfield, Northridge, Northwood or Concord.

Is it common for a very large high school to have 2 AD's?
In the larger schools it is not uncommon to have an associate AD that helps the AD. If they 2 different people acting in that role I can see why there is more chaos in that Athletics program then there should be.

I’ve heard rumblings that Northwood will be going to turf next season as well.
If they were going to do put turf in it would have been this year with the baseball and soccer fields. I think they prefer the grass over turf.

Wogs was taking it in the right direction but I think there is more going on that people can see. Goshen did not have a JV team this season as a bunch of kids quit right before/at the start of the season.

I think it was bundled into the Baseball/Softball/Soccer facilities purchase, they just wanted to wait until those were finished to work on the football field.
