  1. That will open up another week for EC. So they’ll be down to only 5 EIAC games.
  2. Actually maybe Jennings county would make more sense than Madison. Overall they would be closer for a lot of EIAC schools. EIAC 1: East Central Harrison (OH) Lawrenceburg Batesville Jennings County EIAC 2: Connersville Franklin County Greensburg Rushville South Dearborn Maybe this setup could work?
  3. For the sake of keeping things simple for Football scheduling, I would think that the EIAC would prefer to bring in a even number of teams, in all other sports 9 schools isn't a problem really. A second team to come with Harrison would be tricky.. I honestly think if Taylor (OH) was looking for a home they would be a great option as they fit size wise and geographically, but they have a stable home for the time being. I think the only real option at this time would be adding Madison to the conference as they are independent I believe, but maybe as a football only member due to travel considerations. From there you can split the EIAC into two and have 1 crossover game so every one has 6 league games and 3 non league games (Harrison would have 4 non league games as Ohio is 10 weeks for football, they would have to find a week 10 opponent). EIAC 1: East Central Harrison (OH) Connersville Batesville* Lawrenceburg EIAC 2: Greensburg Rushville Franklin County* South Dearborn Madison (Football only) I think overall this would work well IF kept to football only. But some schools might have concerns with travel to Madison.. You could swap Franklin County and Batesville to make travel a little bit easier, but I don't know if Franklin County would be thrilled to be in that division.
  4. Only issue is Talawanda is joining an Ohio conference (SWBL) and Northwest and Mt. Healthy are being heavily rumored to the CMAC Red. I think this would be a move that includes Harrison only, although geographically and size wise Talawanda makes a lot of sense to me as well
  5. https://harrisonpawprint.org/4150/sports/see-you-later-swoc/ it looks like according to this article Harrison (OH) is looking to join an “Indiana Conference” after being rejected by some Ohio leagues.. this is most certainly referring to the EIAC.. EIAC posters, have any thoughts or opinions on this? Harrison would be an interesting fit in the conference.. overall they are pretty similar to East Central size and competitive wise. I know East Central would be an easy yes for Harrison to join, but how would the other EIAC schools feel about it? I’m not sure if they’d be a huge fan of it…
  6. This is honestly their best option IMO. Leaving the EIAC for all sports just to get a better schedule for football would be not the best choice. If they can agree with everyone in the EIAC to just play their 3 'division' opponents and leave the rest open, that could be a great option for them. Then they can play more CCC schools, and even schedule an ongoing series with another GCL Cincinnati School (La Salle or Elder would be the best options). Unrelated but, I would like to see Harrison sort of join the EIAC as a football 'affiliate'. They could use the games with their conference falling apart fast. Nothing, I was just trying to think of ways East Central can get a tougher schedule, IF they want one.
  7. It seems like from what I gather EC is a good fit in other sports. Isn't the EIAC technically 2 divisions? Could EC just play their required divisional opponents (3 games)? Then play out of conference the other 6?
  8. I think some sort of medium between these two would work great. Maybe go independent, and have an agreement with the CCC to play a few games every year. Then from the EIAC play some of your old time foes, and also Harrison. That will get EC to close to 9 games. The CCC idea is pretty interesting and overall I think EC and the CCC wouldn't mind at all.
  9. The SWOC is losing Talawanda to the SWBL. But an idea could be bringing Harrison to the EIAC maybe? Putting them in a division with EC, Lawrenceburg and maybe Connersville?
  10. Hello, My apologies if there is a thread on this already. Firstly, I will start by saying I am by no means close to either East Central School District or the EIAC, I am just an outsider looking in. However, looking at numbers East Central is by far the largest school in the conference and the district seems to be growing (correct me if I am wrong), but from a numbers standpoint East Central has outgrown the league. Now I only know about the football and basketball aspect of things, but it's no secret that East Central is dominant in football. Could East Central beating down on the other EIAC schools year in and year out start to raise dissatisfaction from the other league members? Could they want East Central out? If East Central does leave the EIAC there aren't many options for them. The only ones I can think of is: 1. Independent 2. Hoosier Hills or Hoosier Heritage 3. An Ohio Conference.. maybe? Or is the EIAC more than happy to keep East Central around? After all East Central has been in the EIAC since they became a school... thoughts?
