  1. I agree with you up to 2018 for sure as Penn was the dominant program in the north no questions.  Bad losses last year to Mishawaka(to a great Mishawaka team) and to Valpo in the playoffs (21-0 at home) revealed the problems that really were worse this year (bad losses to 5a Valpo, a 4a NP, and rival Warsaw in the playoffs.  Heck, they struggled to beat a one win Portage team in the playoffs.  Prob will not be a consistently dominant team in the north going forward, like Penn was in the past.  The past two years it has been Valpo (6a semistate 2018, 5a runnerup 2019)

The original post by DT does raise a very good point about Elkhart and their future.  My bet is Penn will return to be a very strong team, though maybe not as dominant as they were in the past.  They are just too big with too much tradition to not be good .  In a way, I think the rise of a strong Elkhart program and a resurgent Warsaw under BC is the best thing to happen for Penn.  Maybe the regional competition will make all the teams better

  2. This should be a great game as Mville is very talented and is great for region that they are back.  Congrats for Coach Seiss and whole staff.  The region is better when Mville is great.  The hot mess of Valpo has won 17-18 DAC games over the last 2 1/2 years, and beaten Penn 3 times

DT City has not been better then Valpo the past 4 years...stop saying that City has dominated the DAC ...they have not beat Valpo or won the DAC ...and you know it...I dont get why you keep on spewing a false narrative

  3. It was a very entertaining game with a lot of action.  The Region of NWI should be very proud with their athletes and coaches performing very well.  Andreans Zach Merrill was MVP of game and was easily the most exciting player on the field.  It will be interesting how he does with the Hoosiers next year.  Chestertons VanEekern kicked the game winning field goal.  Laporte's Seibert opened up o holes on the Oline, and I thought that Valparaiso's Tyler Bukur, Lowell's Jansky on the DL, and Whiting's Barbosa all stood out defensively for the north.  Also, River Forest's Joe O Connell and Valparaiso's Sam Bernardi were part of the Norths Coaching staff.
