....but long-term crews that enforce rules that we are told to enforce do not move forward or even get a playoff game.
But what gets me is, we cannot find out why or get scores until everything is over, 7 weeks after we need to know. Not a real good model of feedback.
I read this, I read of crews wearing jackets during games with the wrong striping, crews letting wrong # of players on multiple plays, and I'm planning on
putting to my crew to not apply for a playoff next year, so we can do as we please.

Sad when he passed. I believe REO came out of Champaign, IL
The way I remember, they played for over 2 hours because they found out the day before they scored their first gold. Think they get a local band to open sice it was pretty much a free concert.
A lot of good music came out of the Champaign/Chicago/Detroit arc. My first concert was KISS in 1976, and I was introduced to Bob Seger music that night, he opened for them.

Paid $17 in 1981 to see REO and Heart along with Foghat and Blue Oyster Cult.
Saw REO winter of 77/78 for $1.02 courtesy of Louisville WLRS 102 concerts. They were celebrating their first gold record.
You can't beat Gary Richrath for blue collar guitar work.

"The IHSAA thru ticket sales and on-line profits are used for operations and supports the give back to schools."
Not a horrible thing.
And so, one wonders.....how much do schools get back? Does "operations" (an administrator) get $25.00 to figure out how to give schools 3 cents?

Apparently Charlestown won via forfiet due to ineligible player. Disregard
Once again, dear WWFan, you are correct. Providence has beaten the Class A #5 Kentucky team, lost to the #9 Class A KY team on a last second pass, and lost to North Harrison after they got the ball to the 2 yard line in the last minute. Plus the forfeit loss. Makes Chucktown 10-0.

Silver Creek will grow faster than Charlestown....There is growth 360 around Sellersburg. Also, Greater Clark will shift students from Charlestown to Jeff to keep Jeff fully used.

You're not wrong. The current location of the school is a complete train wreck right on a narrow HWY 31. The fact that all those new developments are going in along 403, which runs right into 31 in front of the school, makes it 10 times worse. They should've found a new spot to put the school. That or convince the county and town to completely redesign 31/403. Don't get me wrong, their new facilities will be top notch, but it won't be built to withstand the amount of potential students they could have.
As a resident of the Greater St Joe Hill area, I don't have to fight the Sellersburg/403 mess....but I do have to fight the Hwy 60/Charlestown Rd mess daily. Governments in Indiana are always more than 10 years behind developers. By then, it usually ends with government knee-jerk reactions, taking of properties, etc, instead of having a plan for residents to work with.

F1 has really cracked down on it. In Netherlands a couple of weeks ago (Max Verstappen’s home race) they were really monitoring incoming visitors for the smoke flares. Finally they’re now just saying not till after the race. Saw a few strays during the formation lap and when Max took the lead at Monza last weekend. It wasn’t bad until after.
I’m no fan, of the smoke flares or Verstappen for that matter. What did Max ever do to you?

Silver Creek fits geographically and could jump right in immediately but they need to grow some more. They’re 47th in 4A with 913 students. The smallest school currently in the HHC is Jennings County at #22 in 4A with 1,181 students.
You don't have to worry about Silver Creek growing. As I look out my window at former farmland, there is now a subdivision with about 300 houses, and its not halfway built out. Quarter mile down the road, a new one is being developed, 75 more. New apartment complex in downtown Hamburg, 250+ units. New apartment complex across the road. 250 more. 300 more under development 1/2 mile down the road towards New Albany. All within a mile of Hamburg, not even in Sellersburg or north of Sellersburg.
Keep Sellersburg Small!!

We’re all just a bunch of Multi-Millionaires down here if you talk to people out of the County. We deserve to lose. Our rich, spoiled, kids deserve to lose. That’s what this is all about and what it’s been about for 30 years.
Finally, the Truth is out……
and it’s 50 years, not 30.

I'm not saying the enforcement of uniform rules is tied to lack of advancement. My biggest problem is waiting for feedback from the IHSAA on what our school scores were and who voted. We will get it in a couple of weeks, when many officials are involved with winter sports, the last football game was 7 weeks ago, you have an idea what schools voted how, and when you try to address scores, it gets lost in everything that has happened in the last 7 weeks. So you start thinking, it would be nice going through a football season without worrying about the politics of playoff assignment. When the first playoff games are awarded, that is when we need our crew info. Bob, I know you mean well, but your thoughts on all of this are based on a highly successful career of football officiating. I know you try to see things at the other end of the seesaw, but other people don't always have empathy for the folk down here.
