To start this off I graduated from Knox, I now live near Columbus Ohio. So proud of these kids this is something the Knox community has always wanted and deserved. It's definitely hard to compare these two schools. I have watched Chatard be a top contender for state titles my entire life and decades prior. 13 state championships and 18 appearances I believe (correct me if I'm wrong). This is Knox's 3rd sectional title ever, 1st regional ever and 1st semi state game ever. Chatard may have every upper hand possible but, there is something to be said about the will of a group trying to make history. There is something to said about the hungrier team. Lastly there is something to be said about having the best athlete on the field and Myles Mclaughlin is definitely the best player on the field tonight.

    Goodluck to my Redskins!

Sorry but this game is over early. No match. Kudos to Knox on a nice season.

Chatard is just lucky that Casey Woods moved on.  It would for sure be 3 in a row if he was still the coach.  Comer is on quite a run of his own.  2 straight with WeBo and now back again with a different team.  Danville roster is stocked with kids from Avon and Plainfield.  They aren’t a bit rattled by Chatard and they really don’t care about the past.   Danville 30 Chatard 21.  Then they both move on to 4A!

Wow the projection and insecurity is strong in this one, back to the kids table for you on Thursday.

As if sectionals, regionals, and semi state trophies don’t “motivate” players?

Once again, ridiculous analysis that is meaningless.  You should have stopped your last sentence at the word “way” while you were ahead.

Your analysis begins when many current Chatard players were in diapers...or the womb.

So tradition, culture and history are meaningless? Got it. 14 rings say otherwise.

I watched countless Chatard players blow past that “speedy M’Ville defense” and pulled away as they were being chased.

Big runs from the line of scrimmage thru gaping holes. Pretty good for a bunch of deanery kids against D1 talent.

Please go to 0:58 of this video. 88 yds. I've watched them play great defense's and he has broke free (eg St. Xavier 2 times last year). I hated it for him that he was injured in the Brebeuf game last year and missed the playoffs. He was having an outstanding season.

Busted coverage on one play, obviously u didn’t watch the rest of the game.

that backed you up in no way lol. Chatard will always be the little brothers 🙂

I see your arrogance and childishness knows no bounds.

I have given up any hope of getting tickets for this game, I understood the 350 tickets made available to Cathedral were gone in minutes.  I do know of some Cathedral folks that scalped tickets off Carmel folks a few weeks back, but given the small venue I will be patient as the next three games will be at Arlington against the Big Boys from Ohio.

And totally agree, I wish both schools would have worked something out to have this game at a large venue which both schools (especially Chatard since they are home team) would reap the financial benefits of doing so!

    Irish 49

    Chatard 17

Game live on Chatard’s Facebook page. Marion Co is limited to 1,000fans so moving it to LOS wouldn’t change anything.

No need to apologize clown didn’t mention EC had 2 TD’s called back in first half no the game wasn’t a whipping but the 3rd quarter was! By the way clown have you heard if the Tiger player that got ran over by that Truck for a 52yd TD up the middle is ok? See he didn’t mention that part of the game either 4th quarter was pretty much subs let the clock run!

What’s your preview for the game with Chatard?

So many excuses, Little Bro. I wouldn’t trade our state title numbers for your 3A title numbers ever. We both know if you had to go through Cathedral or Roncalli in half of those title runs, you wouldn’t have 1/3 of dem rings. It’s kinda like J/V state. You have the same access Cathedral does. You have half of the IndyWest Deanery on your roster this year. So, don’t poor mouth your Chatard Recruiting ability...

So u belittle Chatard for winning titles in 3A, the class they’re suppose to be in per enrollment, so funny. While Cathedral has a recruiting advantage over everyone. It’s comical u consider Cathedral in the same breathe as Chatard and other Catholic schools anyway. I always find it laughable that Cathedral never shows the middle school that it’s athletes come from on the game rosters while Chatard lists the deanery schools. Chatard is the reliable Honda that everyone respects while Cathedral is the Tesla that everyone knows the driver has intimacy issues.

I think this is only the 3rd thread today where I shared this 😂

    Looks like quite an upgrade.

We just got our butt kicked by Chatard. Nobody cares about excuses.  My 12 year old son came to me during the game Friday and said, "do you realize that their team is 1/5 the size of our entire school?!?!?!"  My reply to him was that none of this matters.  Nobody cares about excuses.  Until Indiana changes the rules we just have to work harder and find a way to win.

Football is a huge tradition at Chatard obviously. About 30% of the boys are playing football. We’re deep. Everyone wants to be apart but only so manymget on the field.

One final thought on this Patriot Senior class who went 24-2 their Junior and Senior season running the ball about 90% of the time, Every week they faced 7 or 8 in the box and yet Chatard was the first team to hold them to under 200 rushing yards this season. Biggest difference Chatard was not only strong up front but the overall team speed was off the chart and they were able take away our biggest weapon Cole Siglers speed... They beat us the way we have been beating teams all season  by forcing  turnovers, Winning special teams and a dominating run game.

1 loss to a better team takes nothing away from what this team accomplished  and all of Patriot nation was is proud of what this team has accomplished.

On to basketball season and the Patriots should have another State contender.

Congrats on a great season and having a solid team and fanbase.

So this is what we're looking at eh?

Cole Sigler, Heritage Hills: The 6-1, 180-pound senior is a two-way standout for the Patriots. As a quarterback, Sigler has 1,122 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns and is an efficient passer with 657 yards and nine TDs. In the defensive secondary, Sigler leads Heritage Hills with six interceptions.

Wyatt Schrader, Bishop Chatard: The 5-11, 185-pound senior leads the Chatard defense with 115 tackles, including nine for a loss and has four sacks and two interceptions.

Daylen Taylor, Bishop Chatard: Pick your poison the Chatard offense. Andrew Sowinski is a 1,000-yard receiver and Kyle Cheek has passed for almost 2,200 yards. Taylor, a 5-10, 185-pound senior, has rushed for 2,149 yards and 30 touchdowns behind the offensive line of Joseph Solomon, Jack Woodcock, Alex Geise, Dakota Boyd and Will Mason.

Jacob Wetzel, Heritage Hills: The 6-foot, 210-pound senior not only leads Heritage Hills with 1,173 rushing yards (13 touchdowns), but is also a standout at linebacker with 95 ½ tackles and, three forced fumbles and two interceptions.

OK, Heritage Hills 27  Chatard  24  For reasons not talked about by the Indy Star.... and a couple that were.

And what are those reasons because you’ve listed none and forgot Cheek and Sowinski for Chatard?

Glad you’ve got so many two way players bc they’ll be gassed when the third quarter rolls around.

Forced 7 turnovers because OL got blasted by a team with a bunch of 2 way players from SW Indiana.

I’m sure HH is well aware of BC and what it’s going to take to compete. Don’t underestimate HH or it could be even more embarrassing in 2919.

No doubt EM had a great game plan and forced turnovers. I would suggest some bad play calling and decision making on chatards part but that’s the way it goes. We were beat that night.

I’m guessing both teams hit hard and both have been hit hard. I’m not sure there is any research that shows a recruit hits harder than a non-recruit. 🤷🏻‍♂️  And I’m not sure it comes down to who hits harder. I’m guessing X’s and O’s and limit turnovers will be the biggest factor in the W.  HH probably has a smaller margin for errors but I thought the same last year for EM.

When have seven tournovers in a game you’ll lose to everyone. Chatard hasn’t had 7 all season I bet.

    1 hour ago, TommyTwoTimes said:

I'm sure your right; Cathedral or (insert next big Indianapolis team name you plan to drop) probably does have something to say bout that, but Heritage Hills does hit hard.  REALLY hard.  It is the answer to why they get better as the game goes on even though most of the team plays both ways.  It's why the running game works.  It's why the defense has allowed the least amount of points in the state this post season, and its probably why Lawrenceburg's star QB couldn't come back and play in the second half.  It's not about being boastful or dirty to say they hit really hard.  Its clean football but its who they are and why they're here.  Is it the X Factor?? Damn I sure hope so!!

We’ll see how they hold up in the third quarter when they’re playing both ways and getting pounded on every play.
