A Modest Proposal

There are currently 6 IHSAA football teams with open games in the week 5 or week 6. The two in week 5, Monroe Central and Wes-Del, actually happen to play each other in week 6. If they shift that game a week forward, and fun opportunity for the 6 teams missing dates on week 6 to have a fun little Eastern Indiana vs Region showdown. On a Saturday we could have 

Wes-Del vs Bowman Academy

Monroe Central vs Hammond Central

Connersville vs East Chicago Central

all at the same field to cut operations costs for all involved. I'm sure Hammond Central would love to put their beautiful facility to work. Chicago could be a fun weekend trip.
