All I know it’s a paint issue, but there has to more to this.

New turf for Enlow,Castle, Boonville, paint for Enlow and Reitz. I’m willing to bet Enlow gets done last. No home games for Bosse or Memorial first half of the season. Similar to a few years ago. I hate that.

  2. Wagner was a starter last year. No one knew who he was. When we played Bosse they had 25 in pads, Reitz had close to 70. They were our closest regular season game. Maybe the growth of Wagner, plus the competitiveness of the Bulldogs with such small #’s played a part. Other SIAC coaches vote on this. Debatable sure, but not insane.

Plus our coach lost again with better talent in the playoffs when it mattered.

Not sure how I feel about this. I know Jasper will do things right, but man a lot of history there. Some fond memories there, always loved Coach Brewer stopping in the locker room before the game working us lol.

What is the plan for the new upgraded?

Exactly. Wagner may have the eye-popping stats but Vera is the best player around. And there’s really no doubt about it for anyone who has seen his versatility and what he has done this season - whether it’s passing, rushing, receiving, defending, punting, returning. I think they should give Wagner 1st team QB and Vera POTY since he makes impacts at multiple positions.

I don’t know if Mater Dei figured some things out or if they just had some magical juice for that one game, but if they can play like that, they will be a tough out in 2A. They have definitely improved since early season. If they get on a roll and happen to beat North Posey, I could see them making a run. I know Linton and Triton are tough, but they haven’t been battle tested like this MD group. Good luck to both west side schools in the playoffs!

Reitz is loaded. Take Vera off the Panthers they may have the same record. Take Wagner off the Bulldogs can’t say the same. Plus Wagner stats with a worse oline worse defense to put him in good positions are way better than Vera’s. I’m not sure it’s that easy.

Something to think about here. If Reitz, Castle, and Jasper all win Friday, Reitz wins the conference by three games again this season. That is really amazing, and shows the absolute parity of the league.

To be fair if we gave all our transfer students back it would be a little closer. It’s getting a little dark on the hill. Good times to be a Panther though.

  6. After what I saw last night Wagner player of the year. I’d be fine if they split it with Vera. Bosse Coach Mullen should be in real consideration for coach of the year. I don’t care what there record is. I counted 25 kids in jerseys. What they have done is unreal congratulations to them.

Hang by his nuts? You must hate success. I’m sure you could find a volunteer job on staff and offer your great insights. I’m guessing every teams fans base in the SIAC would love to hang on to Hurleys nuts, all the way to 5 state title appearances and two titles in two different classes. If you find a better set of nuts to grab on to please let me know.

I’ll let you have them. I’m not really a fan of another man’s nuts.

Hmmmm....smells like someone in here thinks their kid isn't getting a fair shot.  If anyone thinks Hurley doesn't play the kids that help the current configuration of his team the most, they are smoking crack.

Well pass me my pipe while you all continue to hang by his nuts. No kids or family on the team. I just don’t have jaded cult filled eyeballs

I’ll give you the easy answer. Two Sophs and freshman on OL in several games, RB1 injured and QB1 injured. #5 was very average last year at RB with Rode out. #5 is much better on defense.
If Tigers win last 2 SIAC games it could be best regular season coaching performance in Hurleys career considering the talent level.

This isn’t last year and I’ve watched every game with Rode out and 5 has been the best RB not even close. Oline has held up against everyone except Reitz and that’s the same for every other SIAC team. The vanilla scheme and not playing #4 and #5 is what hurts. Also like I said players were running into each other in the backfield….that’s coaching…Bosse onside kicks it every time and still gets it, that’s coaching..not playing the players who give you the best chance to win is coaching. Even the greats can be off. Clearly this year things seem off. Even when Fisher was in it wasn’t scheme that helped him make throws. It was screen passes and him running around making something happen on his own…

Plus I’m tired of hearing about Rode being out. His yards per carry are awful. I just want to see the Tigers get it together.

  10. Any thoughts to the Memorial offense seeming not very well coached this year? RB’s running into each other in split back formations, very limited in how they have spread the ball around, and #5 from what I’ve seen is the 2nd best option on offense and they won’t play him. Defense is well coached as always. The offense doesn’t seem to be. Easy answer is injuries but in limited action #4 made tough throws. Can’t always make square pegs fit in round holes.

Exactly what I was thinking. I would be surprised if they don't give him a chance. I know they want to establish their ground game, but it's just not working. Lefty Liam gives them their best shot to move the ball and score points. He may miss some throws, throw some picks, or take some sacks, but he opens up the field with his arm which may make way for their ground game more.

The Tigers may have something special with #4. Let the player be who he is and see what happens. It will definitely open up the field and teams will have to respect his arm. If you want to beat good teams they can’t stay as vanilla as the last two weeks.

    Bosse, Mater Dei, Memorial, VL,

    Harrison, Reitz, Central, North, Jasper

Team with over 1000 students on one side. Smaller schools in another. Too much work for AD to schedule outside of conference? Is why we are locked in current model.

    Add Gipson Southern ..perfect
