  1. I have a ruling question. On one of the fabulous punts the kicking team picked up the ball at the 2 or 3 yard line but continued his progress into the receiving team end zone. What is the correct ruling in this instance? Ball dead and placed the spot of first touch? Or touchback since the player momentum carried player into end zone after gaining possession?

  3. Hey Hey. Good thread so far. We are pretty hyped about the trek across 30 over to Valpo tomorrow. They tell me the Saints are a 3 TD underdog in this one. If accurate, this is uncharted territory, but I don't buy it. I would take BD to cover and also take the under in this one. They have seen 3 fairly high powered offenses this year that each had a higher PPG average. And none of them came close to scoring 3 TD's on the first team Dwenger defense. However, I am always open to opposing opinions if someone wants to share their thoughts on why this week will be different. Can't guarantee a Saints victory, but the Vikings better have their chinstraps on tight because they will be challenged. GO BDHS!
  4. I don't think anyone is ashamed. It's just that the turnovers and penalties are somewhat unusual. There were some questionable game management tactics and personnel decisions. And finally, there seemed to be a lack of urgency and intensity during several stretches of the game. Also not trying to take anything away from the Spartans. They are a legit good football team and it will take a nearly mistake free game for someone to beat them if they play like they did last Friday night. My gut tells me that this was an anomaly and they will be back on track tonight at home against the Chargers.
