Well, time to start a new chapter.  I feel that the East will be a race between Western and TIpton for the top spot.  I will probably give the nod to Western.  They will be big again and Padgett is a beast.  Tipton will not be able to match up physically with the the 4a monster.  The bottom will be a fight between Cass and Northwestern.  HH will be the best of the rest. On the West half it will be a slugfest.  WL, LCC, and RC will all be very tough.  I think that WL will be down slightly from where they have been but still very strong.  LCC returning a ton of talent and RC has cats everywhere.  I am going to pick RC preseason.  TL is a mystery.  Competed with everyone but can't win games.  They lost to teams that I thought they would beat.  It seemed they played to the level of their competition, but they never got over the hump.  Maybe Coach Mannering will get them there next year.  I see BC improving and competing better.  They may get out of the bottom west next year.  I think the championship will stay in the East with Western winning in the crossover.  I'm sure there are other opinions out there.

Hate to say it but I think you are right about the Kings. I don't see a game on the schedule that they can win based on returning players.

  2. Best of luck to Eastbrook. Gary Andrean has the best team money can buy in 2A. Very disappointing to get up there and see little to no effort was made to clear the snow from the playing surface. I'm sure that was no accident.

Talk to your players about extra curricular activities after the play. They are just on the cusp of being cheap - pushing after the whistle, etc.. they will try to bait you into doing something stupid, which our guy wasn't smart enough to not get involved with.

Their line is very big on both sides and they move well. Like I said, best team $$ can buy. Would love to see the Panthers win this one!

  3. You can bet the Kings will not be overlooking Laville at all. They are good football team with only 2 losses. They seem to have fewer than usual 2 way starters for a 2A program, a kicker who can kick 40 yard field goals, and a potent passing game.

This should be a very good football game. Cass hosting the championship game is huge. Our community is really fired up and will more than likely be a full house. Looks like the temps will be in the 30s - perfect November football.

Friday can't get here soon enough!!!

Meant to post this on the Hoosier Conference thread instead of the LC/Pioneer thread.

Hoosier conference sectional champion predictions.  Who all do you think will win or has a chance of winning their sectional.  I am going to take no less than 4 of these below.

    1. West Lafayette- Certainly will have a tough Sectional opponent in Chatard

    2. Cass-  Tough week one opponent but if the Kings can get by Pioneer they should win their sectional

    3. Rensselaer- Got Boone Grove, Andrean, North Newton- Will the Bombers be healthy for a long tournament run? I think so!

    4. LCC- Knights roll through their sectional

    5. Twin Lakes- My long shot... Knox, Calumet the favorites but I actually think the Indians could pull this one out.

    6. Tipton- Big second round matchup with Eastbrook might be too much for this young Tipton team.

    7. Western- Don't know much about this sectional or the state of Westerns Health but they look as good as any in this sectional

Lol you are in the right thread - you would think the Royal Center folk would be posting in the HNAC and not trolling our conference thread....must not be as exciting as discussing Caston, North White, etc....

The road for the 2A North representative will probably go through state road 35, which goes through both Walton and Royal Center.

Really? I think Eastbrook, Webo, Andrean, Rennsy Central, etc would say otherwise. Those programs are staples in 2A and always a tough out. To say the North rep will go through Royal Central and Walton is pretty arrogant. Just my opinion...

Wasn't surprised West Lafayette beat the Kings but thought the Kings would be able to stop them more than once.  West Lafayette offense very impressive.

21 killed us - he is a great WR. The combo of WL tempo - speed - and talent was too much. With so many 2 way guys for the Kings, I think it was just a matter of time before the flood gates opened. What a great experience for our kids playing against a team of that caliber. Hopefully will pay dividends come post season time.

If Tipton wins they go to LCC for a rematch with guys healthy back

If Western wins they go to LCC for 3/4th and we Welcome back Tipton to Rensselaer

BC/NW look to be set to see each other

Heights could throw a wrinkle into things if they pull an upset on Cass, if not, Cass gets to go to RDP of 765 for another rematch.

    Fun times in Hoosier

To play WL two times in a span of 3 weeks should be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

Would be a nice appearance for the Twin Cities.  LCC and West Lafayette split blue/red rings, respectively, back in 2015.  LCC and West Lafayette last appeared and both took home blue rings in 2009.  It'd be nice to see a triple sweep this year.

Edit: And it would also be three from the Hoosier Conference too ... LCC, Cass, and West Lafayette.

Great to be included in the converstaion, but we need to get better in many areas to be even in the conversation.
