I guess if someone is doing a free a stream of game then you can get. Would a school be able to do that with their own media dept. if they could and ISHAA wouldn't be able to stop it?

I just looked it up on the IHSAA site and it seems that IHSAAtv.org has cornered the market. The regionals is the last round other broadcasting stations (including the schools media depts.) could show the games. It says $12 for 1 game or all 12 for $20. Like I said before, it never hurts to ask the restaurant. I've had pretty good luck with asking (and I tip very well).

You think the bar/restaurant will add the pay per view fee to your bill???

Usually, Mrs ArmyVet80 consumes a few glasses of vino and doesn't see the bill. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😂😂 In all seriousness, if the game is live streamed, most restaurants will at least look it up to see if they can get it. I've actually streamed from my phone to a smart TV at 3 of the restaurants I mentioned. If you have a roku stick, you could also ask them to plug it into the nearest TV and stream from your phone to the roku which makes it a smart TV (with the assistance of their wifi or using the hotspot on your phone). Of course this does not bypass the pay per view fee from the streaming service. Most places don't have ESPN+ but I do through my cell provider and I've pulled up games not on the regular ESPN channels.

Sorry for the lengthy post. A simple yes or not probably would have been sufficient. 🤦‍♂️ Ya knever know until you ask.

You obviously haven't walked the halls of your typical government high school recently, have you?     Your primary experience is with the automatons produced by the CYO football program.

You are wrong.  Most government  high school programs have tried and tried, over time, to emulate the P/P's and 99% of them fail.  The best they can hope for is that "once in a decade team", not reload year after year after year like the P/P's do.   Most P/P's just don't have the socioeconomic hurdles the governments schools face.

There we go. I had to pinpoint the problem. If you read the now enhanced/bold words, you will likely find where the problem actually is. As someone that uses said words healthcare system for veterans, I can attest that they probably aren't good at running education platforms either.

  4. Bishop Chatard continues to methodically beat teams and Knox has put the hammer down the last few games. West Noble is the only team within 18 points of Knox in the tournament so far. Guerin was the closest game for Chatard at 11 points. Both seem to have reasonably stout defenses and potent offenses.

Who do you pick advancing to the state championship?

I will be at Knox Friday night for this one. Did you know that the 2 head coaches have 541 wins between them? Is there another game in the state that can match that total?

Sheridan vs Monroe Central has 545 wins between the two coaches. 454 from just one of them. 🤷‍♂️

Yes, Penn beat Mishawaka, and Mishawaka beat Warsaw - however - Warsaw's starting quarterback at the beginning of the season was hurt in Week 1 at Michigan City, and he made his return last night. It was obvious how much better the offense looks with him under center. The Tigers went 8-1 this season with a backup quarterback basically. I'm not sure the Mishawaka game would have changed by much (the Cavemen are a great team and were the better team on September 22), but he's a bigger threat to run the ball at the QB position and an overall better athlete.

Would you say that the Warsaw QB is better than or equal to Mishawaka's QB? Penn bottled up Mishawaka's QB which is impressive any way you look at it.

  7. Penn saw a small portion of "Bart Ball" earlier this season when they played Mishawaka. It may not be 100% Bart Ball, but it isn't that far off. Penn beat Mishawaka 28-7 and Mishawaka beat Warsaw 34-11. All teams have improved (ish) over the season.

I'm gonna go Penn 21 Warsaw 20 in this one.

No thoughts on the game actually but, before I head out of town for a few weeks, I just wanted to offer another ongoing playground for folks to sh!tpost about their various rings, why Chatard shouldn't be in 3A and anything else having nothing to do with either the game or the thread.  If it were possible for both teams to lose I'm clearly aware that about 95% of the state would see it as optimal.

Regardless, best wishes to both teams.

    Have fun ladies.

    Carry on.

PS - Anyone checked CalPreps this week?  Not that I agree, btw, but its certainly additional fodder.

    I've got you covered. 😂😂

[2023] Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis, IN) 27 (88%), [2023] Guerin Catholic [St. Theodore] (Noblesville, IN) 7 (12%)

First off, Thank you for your service to our country !

    Sayin’ what I feel !!!

You weren't too far off on your predictions. My apologies for my previous post. 👍 After watching any tape I could find on the teams, I figured these games had the makings of being relatively close.

I hope that we get good breakdowns of each game from tonight from those that were at the games or watched them on a streaming service/TV.
