Easy now. They’d be double digit underdogs to the top three in 6A IMO.
Calpreps thinks so too per the predictor.
BCHS vs Center Grove is: 31-14 CG
BCHS vs Brownsburg is: 34-17 BB
BCHS vs Ben Davis is: 31-19 BD
BCHS vs East Central is: 22-19 EC
I believe these are the 4 you have above BCHS in your latest top 25.
How close these predictions are may surprise some from Sectional 28 only.
BCHS vs Tippy Valley is: 35-14 BCHS
BCHS vs Guerin Catholic is: 26-8 BCHS
BCHS vs Hamilton Heights is: 28-6 BCHS

For those of you traveling from St Leon, I HIGHLY recommend Ale Emporium after the game. We usually go for the patio after the game. Live music, great food, and ice cold Coca-Colas.
I second this recommendation. 👍

Penn's DB's had no response for the Irish WR's #17, #3 and #8 for Cathedral. #17 at one point seemed to be the only WR that the Irish wanted to throw to and everyone in the stadium knew it (except for the Penn coaching staff). From what I saw, there weren't any adjustments made to slow the passing game down. DB's were giving 8–10 yard cushions for the Irish WR's the entire night. Absolutely no press with over-the-top help and that cost Penn. The Irish QB (Danny O'Neil) has a good arm and is mobile (I believe his dad played at Penn years back) and showed why he is going to Colorado.
Penn's QB had a decent game but didn't seem too comfortable in the pocket. It looks like he injured his right ankle which definitely hindered his ability to rollout and pass. There were some drops and overthrows to the receivers too. After a muffed snap on a punt, Penn got the ball at the Cathedral 17 or so yard line and got to the 4 yard line before being stopped on 4th down.
On a positive note, Penn did hold down the Irish rushing game. Most of their rushing yards came in the 3rd/4th quarters when there was a running clock.
The thing that jumped out at me the most was that Penn seemed like they wanted to be anywhere but that field. Coming onto the field at the very beginning there was no intensity or emotions. It was like they were zombie walking. Cathedral punched them in the mouth, and they never recovered.
These were just my observations of the game.

Absolutely no intensity/emotion from Penn. Almost as if they were defeated by walking on to the field. Odd to see compared to the Penn teams of the past.

Sorry. MaxPreps had it backwards.
I saw that too. No reason to be sorry. 👍 Easy correction.

Unless Andrean holds onto the lead they had.. Then the topic header may need to be changed.. 🤔

Glad to get my donation in. Sorry it was a bit later than normal. I've been traveling for work a lot lately and it slipped my mind between flights, hotels, rental cars, etc.. 🤦♂️

Hey Maroon man
Growing up as a kid, Steele Stadium I believe was named "Tupper Field." Do you know the history on that name? Always wondered. What year did they change? Thinking around 1980 or 1981?
It is actually still Tupper Field at Steele Stadium. There is a plaque on the southside of the home stands/seating before you go into the tunnel. 👍

I hope that Marian's defense is tougher than last year. If I'm not mistaken, Marian was only giving up 4 or 6 points a game leading up to Chatard visiting and then 45-0 happened.
From the video I have watched of both teams, I would say a 24-21 or 28-24 type of game is probably closer than 42-14.
Marian's offense looks more explosive this year compared to last year though.

That's a bold assessment. I'm not saying it's wrong, but I'm not saying it's incorrect either. I'm gonna say the games mentioned will be closer than they appear. This is the Sectional of death by the way. Enjoy what we can and predict what we think we can. Enjoy life either way.
