I believe Fields is a legitimate starting QB in the NFL and the Bears would be fools to trade him. Build around him, get him an offensive line, give him some weapons at WR and RB and you got yourself a playoff team.

QB Williams is a head case. Major ego for sure. Allegedly wants part ownership of the team drafting him.

The problem with fields is financial there is no precedent of someone who has played poorly as him getting extended, baker mayfield won a playoff game and still got traded. Daniel jones was a one year wonder and got 40 mil a year. In fields defense the bears number 2 receiver wouldn’t start on any other team and o line has had some rough patches.

  2. Trade 1 for 3 draft MH jr, draft de at 9 then penix or Bo nix if available if later

give fields 1 more year but have a capable backup in case injury or poor performance

that’s my ideal path for bears but with poles you never know but he has made many good moves and 1 poor one chase claypool

NIL and transfer portal has exploded and was done wrong IMO to begin with. This could potentially kill football program at lower levels or tiers. You can already see this in the bowl games.

Yeah these games are a joke

Syracuse has a tight end playing qb

texas am 3rd string qb injured 1st play

I’m sure there are more instances of lack of depth

Can't stockpile talents?  I think its just the opposite. Schools like Texas, Bama, Ohio State, Michigan, etc. have the opportunity to further distance themselves as they can pour more money into their NIL pools than the majority of schools in their conferences and especially from the mid-majors.

Arch Manning made $3.2 million last year as a backup QB for Texas.  That's more $$ than some starting QB's in the NFL.  Majority of schools cannot use that type of money to incentivize recruits to come their way.

To me for the past 10 years it was all Georgia and bama and now we have those teams you mentioned now competing

    M. Graham WR 6'1" 180 lbs - 39 Rec. 566 yds. 6 TD. He was listed as only playing 7 games and did not lead his team in catches, yards, or TD's. There are a few of the other WR's I feel people could be upset about not getting the WR position award and Graham is not one of them. Now if you were to say Tuggle, Coy, or Hall you might have a case.

Or if you only have 6 TD's on the year.

Sorry was unaware he missed games this year now it makes sense

So the kid who won it who was multiple state champ, 3rd all-time scorer, top 5 all-time rusher, 3-yr starter at top 15 power 5 school at a defensive position he never played in high school and will play in the league as well makes it a joke.

    Yikes.

Ok let’s see how high he gets drafted I’m just saying karalfitis and bell are better I never he said he was a bad player

  8. On most levels of football mostly nfl I notice that punting teams will take a delay of game to make it easier for their punter. Why don’t more coaches decline the penalty, is there some kind of etiquette?
this seems to be the one time a penalty of more beneficial to the offending team.

So I guess my official referee question what percent of the time do you see the defending team decline this penalty?

  9. The three states I’ve resided in have the same issue

    see illinois below

Nevada was sick of bishop Gorman killing everyone so they made 3 division 5s

well that added another catholic champ

side note that my Carmel almost beat Gibson southern and got destroyed by this Byron school, imagine how good they are

I officiated a lot of big games in The Inferno. Great atmosphere. But by November, that field was hard as a rock. Very tough on the feet.

Yep early 2000s are college practice field was natural grass and due to overuse it became cement essentially, luckily you don’t tackle in cfb practice but I had such bad knee tendinitis form planting and cutting
