Has anyone heard how they will do a conference title this years, if they do? 
 

I have heard rumor that a few other conferences are saying they won’t give a conference title if a game is canceled do you covid. Just rumor as far as I know.

Yes, SV is the biggest school in the WRC, but doesn't every conference have a biggest school?  NV, PH and others werent talking about SV being a bigger school when they were beat us the last few years.  To answer your question, a Conference Championship is a Championship.  Speaking of Championships, Parke Heritage Football hasnt won a championship (WRC, Sectional, Regional) of any kind!

You are correct. PH hasn’t won any titles in their first 2 years and it doesn’t look like they should this year either.
 

Just looking for discussion topics so the board has something to talkabout. Usually it ends up with people bringing up Moore and his ability to change schools to chase wins. Is that what South Vermillion did when they left the conference and theN game back? I’m not blaming this on the coaches this would go back to the school board. 
 

Did Rockville push King out after a few losing seasons? Because if it’s about teaching kids life lessons I have heard high regards about him from players from all the schools he coached at.

Is Attica picking and choosing who they want to play this year and using covid as an excuse? 
 

Is Riverton still considered a dirty team? Attica use to have that title. 
 

who are some of the best coaches from the WRC. Mark Bless stands out.

A title is a title but, for discussion purposes does SV winning the WRC less satisfy for them since they are playing  in a small conference? Or is it just as exciting since they are competing now? 

The title of most hated coach changes every few years along with the talent in the WRC. 

So does the success SV is having this year and with the future of the program do they look for a new conference? One that would prepare them for a sectional win? or do they stay in the WRC and dominate the conference from here on out? 

I hope people keep posting. The grid iron is dead compared to where it was a few years ago, or even last year

I’m not concerned one way or another as I have no dog in the fight. But you are in The wrong place if you think anything will be dropped here. It’s still brought up every week that PH canceled their week one game. Supposedly that was do you players safety concern.

So what are these tapes that are being talked about? I would assume officials would only review tapes after a game and it would be to critique their own performance. 
 

If they were sent for “player safety” I would think the coach would reach out to other schools to notify other teams so coaches could protect their players. Remember this is about player safety and not win or losses. 
 

Were they sent to try to gain an advantage? Or were they sent to the crew because the coach doesn’t think the crew is competent enough to be officiating the game on their own? if that’s the case maybe they need to look at outside of their regular crew and find some different officials.

Check on tickets before you make the trip. Heard because of guidelines PH will be limited to 150 tickets and you must have a voucher to purchase at ticket at the gate. 

I would say that’s the only reason Moore picked that team. 
 

So is South Vermillion playing this week since the school is on virtual? Is it true SV knew this before they played Riverton? Hopefully not. 
 

Hope South Vermilion stays healthy so all their D1 athletes are at 100% when they play the Wolves. Should be a good game. Hope neither team has excuses.

Well it felt alittle more like football weather this week. Got a little chilly towards the end of the game. I’ll have to prepare better next week.

Down at North central the game ended the way most people expected. One thing I don’t think anyone expected was how sloppy the Wolves played tonight. Silly penalties, dropped passes, didn’t seem like their head was in the game. After a few mistakes they would make a a big play and all would be forgotten. 
So what do we think the reason could be. Couldn’t get motivated to play? Looking forward to a bigger game down the road? Undisciplined? Who knows. I do hope the wolves improve week after week. This team could be pretty good if the keep their head in it. The team is full of athletes and anyone of them can beat you on any given night. Just tonight was not a good performance. Sloppy sloppy sloppy

NC has good size on the line, not sure what they are feeding those boys. They have a couple hard runners that really came to life in the 4th quarter. Yes I know it was against the JV, but they still ran hard. 
 

looking forward to tomorrow’s game. Trying to decide if I want to go to SV or Seeger. 
 

anyone have any type of recap on the NV Covington game? 

I would assume there are a few hard decisions this year for coaches. We hope we get to play a full season now, but it’s got to be in back of their minds on how long to do you play your kids. For example. If you have a player that’s on the verge of getting to play college ball do you let them play a little longer to get some game tape? Do you let seniors play a little longer as you never know when it might be the last game? 
 

I still hate it for the spring athletes last year that graduated. Let hope we get all of the games in now.

Didn’t SV leave the conference a few years back? I was gone from the area but I thought I remembered that. If so why did they return? Lack of success, travel, or something else? 
 

like a previous poster said. Sv should be in contention for the title year after year. Does it benefit SV to play 1A schools for a conference title, but then struggle in their class in sectionals? 

I can see your point. But honestly believe those coaches above put a lot of time and heart in the kids while they are there. Like most people in any job you do your best to make moves that better your life and career. If they can have success and move on that’s is what most of us do. Doesn’t mean we don’t have respect or love for our former players or co workers. We just make smart business moves. 
Also I wouldn’t just look at the coaches, look at the schools and school boards that are chasing those coaches. If an awesome offer comes up you have to take a look at it and see if it’s a good fit for you and your family.

Just hearsay after last year but heard Crabtree was willing to look else where, but his wife and kids wanted to stay. If that’s the case. Good for him putting the wants and needs of his family first.  
Did King leave on his own or was he being pushed out? Same thing with Barrett? Did he chose Sv to be closer to family. I’m not sure just asking the question.

I’m know nothing about Twin Lakes, but I think Seeger was expecting a tough game. Not sure if  it was planned to be that lopsided

Not sure if any schools beside SV and Covington have soccer, but is some of the lack of competitiveness from those schools in the past been from talent being pulled in two directions? 

Yes I believe the Johnson kid threw  one pass in the second half. A 20 yard pass and a 40 yard run. That will happen when you are playing 8 In the box and man coverage. 
Not sure Covington’s defense would of stopped PH tonight even if the handed the ball off. 
Covington has some talented players but this may be a rebuilding year for them.

Is SV the real deal this year or is NV down this much? 
 

Sv up 14-0 middle of 1st quarter

PH up 7-0 mid 1st

So with the game Monday, will they be able to play again Friday? Or maybe move it to Saturday? Just curious how this will work out. If so, is there a possibility that other games can be made up during the season? 

I guess a few different schools switched around games. All I am going by is hearsay 

Looks like Seeger will play Twin Lakes this Friday night!

I agree. I heard one player may of been the quarterback. I was more so wondering if that was what happened to the offense.

In regards big games and rivals, I think this weekend’s NV/SV game will tell us a lot about how the conference could play out this year.  

Also, I think the sleeper team or one that many don’t know about is Seeger.  Unfortunately, they most likely won’t play PH and play in the Western Boone sectional, along with SV.   

Not sure what other games PH will cancel. I would assume they will play everyone except Seeger, NV, and SV. 
 

in all seriousness any ticket restrictions that anyone knows of this weekend? Thought about going to the noblesville @ Th south game but heard visiting fans are getting one ticket per player.

Was NV with out players last week? Just what I heard. Not sure if it was true or not. If so did that make a difference in the game? Last few years Owen valley has struggled, unless they really turned it around this year I can’t believe NV struggled that much with a full roster!

Whats the “real” story? Thought I read on another thread that the AD accepted the game before discussing with the coach. Not sure if that’s what happened. But doubt if you hear any more about it. 
 

maybe to get some different conversation going. You always have one game that you mark special on the calendar. Who do you think that game is for each school? I’m just assuming on these.

NV  PH no love loss between these two

RP  Attica/FC  best chance for a win

Seeger  PH (Not happing this year) but king would like to beat his old school

FC  Covington rival between the two. 

Attica  ? 

PH.  SV.  Who doesn’t want to play against D1 talent to see what you have.
