  2. With FC being the size they are. I think, from what I've been told, they play these big schools because they field a Full freshman team, JV and Varsity. It seems that FC is too big for most the area IN teams. But too small for the Louisville teams. Hard to play varsity against a local team but not be able to play JV and freshman. Most can field a JV team but hardly any can field a freshman only team besides St. x, trinity, male, and manual.
  3. Maybe nothing right away. But down the road, I believe they will be a 4a school across the board. They are usually at the top of the MSC in most sports now. Maybe they want to go compete with bigger schools or the other members may want to force them out due to them getting too big. I think the HHC would be a good landing spot for them. They can still have the rilvary game against Charlestown and keep one other MSC game. Possibly Brownstown or Corydon or Scottsburg depending on the sport. Brownstown is always good in baseball, solid in football and the basketball team is very solid. Do they really want to keep playing Austin, Pekin, Henryville? That's not for me to answer. I am just looking at who could join and who has the best chance of growth to add good competition to HHC. Addressing @coachhess concerns about quality opponents and the culture of FC fans. No SC isn't male, St. X, etc…but they already play them, if everyone else plays them then this could free up a whiteland, Plainfield, or Franklin to fill the gaps for st. X THS. Those teams are better for FC than Providence or other small schools in the area and are still somewhat in close proximity to the other teams. No 3 hour drive to THS or playing 6a private schools out of Louisville. Whiteland, Plainfield, Franklin are solid out of conference games. Also, Does this help eliminate New Albany to travel to Indy on a Saturday to play a team out in South Bend? Or does NA already play SC now?? Just thinking and considering what's best for HHC's future. I'm afraid JC is going to want to drop out in the future as well. If that happens I believe the HHC may be done, then everyone will be looking for a new home.
  4. I agree with @Coachhess But hear me out on this idea. The loss of Madison from the conference has caused every team to find a new out-of-conference team to play. Let's take FC as an example. Normally they would play Male and Providence in wees 1 and 2 then 6 conference games. When Madison left so they picked up Silver Creek. Then Providence dropped FC. Then male dropped. So, they had to pick up the manual for 2 years, and then St. x for 2 year,s and THS for 2 years. The only way to help everyone is to add another team to the HHC. Regionally the team that makes sense is to add Silver Creek. Now this doesn't help FC directly but indirectly it does. If everyone has to play SC then everyone has to drop one existing opponent. This frees up an IN opponent for FC to pick up. Jeff may have to drop Whiteland, FC can pick them up to replace one of the Louisville powerhouse teams. I believe NA used to play Franklin, maybe they have to drop them so FC could pick that game up as well. Adding SC or any other team forces others to drop opponents. SC could compete with the current HHC teams. They are a growing community with new facilities, new additions to the school, growing student population. Their baseball team just got moved to 4a, the basketball team already plays a heavy HHC schedule. They are 1000+ students and will grow over the next 3-4 years. So a new FC schedule could look like this: Whiteland, Franklin, SC, and the rest of the current HHC teams. Another team that will grow is Charlestown. A lot of construction going on out that way with new bridges and commercial development. People want to move out of Louisville and the JCPS schools. I'm sure this won't work for everyone but it's an idea or example of how adding another conference opponent could help the situation.

  19. I think east gets this one. CE Fern Creek is too athletic for Jeff. Fern Creek BNL wins in close game FC wins in high scoring game. Toughest pick of week FC 61-Seymour 60
