  1. 2 competitive games and 2 running clocks again. Alex @ MG- I'll take the home team in a close one, MG by 6 Blackford @ Frankton- Hopefully a good tune-up/injury free game for the Eagles. Frankton wins by 35 Eastbrook @ Mississinewa- I'm going to take the home team again, but this is a toss-up. I hope it's a 3 overtime game and the Panthers are still tired afterwards for their opening sectional game : ) Ole Miss wins by a PAT OH @ Elwood- OH by 1000, I feel bad for OH, they've had a great season, but their sectional is absolutely brutal. Perennial powerhouse Chatard, Undefeated Tippecanoe Valley, 6-2 Ham. Heights are all waiting for the Golden Eagles, if OH can even beat a very solid Guerin team in round 1. Yikes!
  2. Whether the 2 best teams play in round 1 or in the sectional championship game, it should still be a great game right? Still going to be a winner and a loser? Still have lots of paying customers? It's not that big of a deal to play round 1 as opposed to round 2/3. How many hs football shirts do you see that say "sectional finalist" 2019?
  3. I like the current "all-in" format. Here's a thought no one has brought up yet. If the 1-8 team and the 0-9 team draw each other in round 1, one of them will then get an 11th game which will be a blowout loss more than likely, but a playoff win is a playoff win. In a program rebuild this would be a critical step in the right direction for some teams as sad as it sounds. Example: Sectional 36 if Elwood drew Blackford this year, dozens and dozens of people would come out to see the rematch of the 13-6 final score game earlier this season. : )
  4. 1240 whbu is carrying Frankton vs. Alex tonight. You can listen online if you’d like
  5. Should have 2 good games and 2 running clock beatdowns Eastbrook @ MG- I'm rooting for MG, BUT the Panthers start getting into postseason form now and win by 6 Frankton @ Alex- I think Eagles finally find some offense, D has been strong all year, Eagles win by 6 Ole Miss @ Elwood- Ole Miss by 1000 OH @ Blackford- OH by 1000 Side note: Sectional 36 is wide open, I could see Eastbrook, Alex, Frankton, Eastern, Bluffton, Tipton all in the championship game. As always, it just depends on the draw and who's on what side. For the first time in a long time, i don't think anyone is scared to play Eastbrook, although I'd say they're still the favorites.
  6. MG over Frankton, I'd like to think Frankton can get a home W here but their offense has become non-existent Eastbrook over Elwood by 1000 OH over Alex (OH will finish regular season undefeated with Elwood and Blackford left on schedule) Ole Miss over Blackford by 1000
  7. OH has been very good this year, but man sectional 28 will be brutal to get out of depending on the draw of course. It's very unfortunate that sectional 28 got 2 Indy area parochials (Guerin/Chatard) lumped into it somehow. Sectional 36 is up for grabs it appears this season as Eastbrook doesn't seem to be nearly as good as year's past. Sagarin has it rated as 1 Bluffton, 2 Eastbrook, 3 Frankton, 4 Eastern, 5 Alex...... Alexandria has the best record and probably the most impressive win amongst all of the 36 teams, but just not sold on them yet. Such an interesting/weird CIC season it has been so far.
