  1. Both Parke County teams kept it close last week, and you know this princess was hoping for an upset between the Woofs and the Seegers. I was very disappointed when those Woofs didn't pull the upset so I could eat my words for picking the Seegers last week. I'm pretty sad that in his driving around, @Donnie Baker didn't find me or @Lucy Draper. I'm pretty hard to miss in Parke County with my princess dress always on. They just don't make princes like they used to, with eyes of all things, I guess. From what I've gathered Attica played a clean game, which does deserve a shout-out. I'm glad they're receiving that shout-out. Coach King was in typical fashion of trying to take it easy when he needed to. He definitely COULD have run up the score, but there was no need. Glad to see the Mustangs having fun-- even letting the linemen have the ball. Who would've thought?! The Princess's Picks this week: North Vermilions at Attica-- North Vermilions walks away easily with this W. Hopefully North Vermilions will be somewhat merciful on the Ramblers once they get up on them. The Woofs at Covington-- This game could be the wildcard game at the bottom of the conference. Covington's injuries have plagued them this year, which is unfortunate for their first year HC. I think it will be Covington on top of the Woofs by a close margin. Seegers at Fountain Centrals-- game of the week for sure. It will be close. While I know Coach King will be chompin' at the bit to get this W, I think his 'Stangs are right there with him on the want for revenge. Last season, this game was decided by ONE point. In watching Coach King in the past, he'll do everything he can to not only get the W but to make sure his team has no question left on either side of the ball while they go battle the Seegers. I'm taking the 'Stangs to win this one AND take their first Bi-County title in a number of years and still be in the running for a WRC title. I would apologize to @Ballhawk for not picking his family's old stomping grounds. But I'm not sorry, and I was always taught to not apologize unless you're sorry. South Vermilions at Riverton Parkes-- I do not like southern Parke County (Sorry, Lucy Draper). Never have. Never will. I'm a Woof princess through and through. Also, have I told you how much I like visors? Because I really like them. So I'm guessing SV continues their dominance of a majority 1A conference and takes the W over the Panthers.
  2. I'm not one to normally argue... especially behind a screen online because that is pointless... BUT "playing up" for pre-season scrimmages and playing teams like West Vigo and Sullivan the first two weeks of the season is not what most would consider "playing up" when the 'Cats can manhandle almost the rest of the conference. Just a thought.... but I'm also JUST a helpless princess who thinks visors are classy with minimal football knowledge... so take that however you want.
  3. Listen hot moms like me are not impressed by Zimas and inflatable pools, but that's just what we get in this part of the state. Beggars can't be choosers. It's either good WRC football or high class stable pools. We can't have both.
  4. At one point @Donnie Baker referred to me as a hot mom. As a WRC girl from the southern part of the conference, I think @Ballhawk is just sad that girls in the Attica area don't look like me and @Lucy Draper ... ANYWAYYYYY-- Princess Picks for Week 5 (on a Thursday because I was too busy having those Zimas by Lucy's pool that Donnie got us)... Attica at FC-- FC by as many as they want, although I think Herbie won't run the score up as much as he could. Speaking of Herbie... I've heard he's a loveable guy who did play line back in the day... who's to say his number wasn't 53? Someone do some research... RP @ NV -- North Vermillion will win easily, although that's not to say the Panthers won't put up a fight. Seeger @ Parke Heritage-- Do I have to take back my previous comment about picking every other WRC team to upset Seeger? Because I'm picking them again this week and I really hate myself for it... I guess it's back to the pool and Zimas to drown my sorrows. South Vermillion at Covington-- I've always said visors are classy. I'm sticking with that.
  5. Princess Picks: Attica @ PH - Wolves knock off the Ramblers. It'll be a close game though. Fountain Centrals @ Covington - Herbie and the 'Stangs overall could have outperformed RP last week way more than they actually did. I've heard Covington's QB is out due to injury. Tough blow for their first year head coach. Mustangs pull this one out and go 3-1 overall on the season. Seegers @ Riverton Parkes-- Deep down I want RP to pull the upset. But realistically not going to happen. Bob Seegers win (as much as it pains me to say). North Vermillions @ South Vermillions on Saturday-- I still think visors are classy. But on top of that, I think SV has the better athletes overall. I'm taking SV.
  6. The princess picks: Attica at Seegers-- unfortunately Seeger will pull this out and it won't be close. Riverton Parkes at Fountain Centrals-- Herbie shows no love for the Panthers and gets the W to avenge for the close loss last season. Covington at North Vermillions on Saturday-- Call me crazy but I'll go with Covington because why not? The Woofs of Parke Heritage at South Vermillions on Saturday-- Visors are cool and I will make this prediction solely on that statement and nothing else.
  7. I heard they were delayed due to weather Friday and with officials in short supply they’re finishing the game Monday evening.
  8. who said I was hot? or a mom? I mean.... it is ridiculously hot outside but...
  9. Long time reader. First time posting but this football princess is ready to hang with the boys with WRC insights. BC at Seeger-- unfortunately I'm taking the Patriots, but I think BC will test them. For personal reasons the only other week I'll end up picking the Pats is against Attica because they're the only team in the WRC I despise more. Crawfordsville at FC-- Call me crazy, but I'm taking Herbie and the 'Stangs. The HOFer has built his entire career on rebuilding programs and FC in year 2 is no exception. Last week was not FC's best but I think Acton will come out with guns blazing. NV at Paris, IL-- haven't looked hard into this one, but NV's defense will need to step up this week. PH at WV-- I'll take the Vikes. Riverton Parke at Carroll Flora- I think it'll be closer than people expect, but I'm going with Carroll. South Newton at Covington-- I know nothing about the Fig Newtons... so we'll go with Covington and if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Tri County at Attica- Not much to elaborate on with this one. Tri County takes the W.
