  1. That’s hilarious. I’m enjoying arguing with @Donnie Baker some. But he and I can easily agree that @DomerFan78 has no clue what he’s talking about when it comes to the Legendary Jacob Earl. This coming season will be exciting to watch with the shake up that took place all around. One has to wonder if Cronk will build Seeger back into the powerhouse it was during the dynasty days of the early 00’s? Can Sanders keep RP on top and run over everyone again, or will they meet their match at some point in the regular season? Can Earl match, or even exceed, Herb’s success at FC? Will NV have a miraculous rebuild and turnaround? And we have to wonder what kind of year will Crabtree and the HoF Herb have at their respective schools?
  2. He’ll try, but the shoes are too big. Though if he keeps last years DC around, they could be powerful. Minick seemed to turn the defense around in only one season. He might need added to the list of WRC coaching greats. Maybe eventually he’ll be on top of that list with Hummer, Moore, King, Dean, and Crabtree.
  3. DonnieBaker said so, and he had someone tell him, so it’s not gossip.
  4. If your sources are right, then maybe FC’s DC from last year will head to NV since he was overlooked at FC.
  5. @DomerFan78Smith was good, and no question the reason AHS was successful for a couple years. But to post what he accomplished and say he’s the best while failing to acknowledge that Stephanie White had a successful career at both Purdue and in the WNBA is crazy. With that, Earl is still better than both. I’m told he didn’t go bigger on college because the learnin’ at NV didn’t quite make him read for college. And, as was already established by @Lucy Draper, he’s beat Stephanie in 1v1. @Donnie Baker how was Earl the reason Herb left FC? Earl is at NV.
  6. @Donnie Baker are you back from vacation and able to comment on who you think are potential future greats out of the WRC?
  7. There have been so many great Coaches. Brian Moore, Dale Hummer, Rick Malone, Brad Smith, Dave Bolin, Brian Crabtree, Herb King, Brad Sanders, Tom Cook, Scott Cronk, Marty Brown, Ron Stateler, Coach Visor, Mo Moriarty, Rob Beckett. Maybe some future greats too: Jacob Earl, Scott Moore, Tyler Campbell, Justin Wheeler, Mike Cross, Derek Dean, who else is knocking on the door of greatness?
  8. New Debate: Best WRC Coach that’s still active (even if not in WRC) Best Coach WRC Ever There are so many great WRC athletes. But have any other than Brady Cronk made SportsCenter?
  9. Curiosity is also begging the question: Did Crabtree and King consult with each other before these most recent moves? Both leaving blue to go green, and both going to 0-10 3A schools with historically bad programs. Maybe this move will finally settle the debate of which one is the better coach.
  10. It's possible that we're naive. But you cannot deny that Herb helped turn around program after program. On top of that, his fingerprints are all over when you look at his coaching tree, the guys he coached and coach with are everywhere! Has any other coach made the impact in as many WRC schools as Herb? Covington, Rockville, Seeger, Fountain Central, and that's direct impact, not to mention the impact through guys he mentored. Earl is on track to make the same kind of impact through his career. It'll be exciting to see what he can accomplish. Maybe you think I'm naive because I said Earl is the GOAT. Maybe it's naiveté, maybe it's bias, but I said what I said. Also, you're right, you left a lot of legendary WRC athletes off your list. Macee Williams Brett Sheldon Ryan Blankenship Ryan Sowers Eli Cook Billy Bettis Damien Black Candace Dark Robbie Davis Jack Kay Just to name a few more.
  11. These were all good athletes in their own right, but none compare to Earl. Jacob Earl is the GOAT, period. Lucy is right, he’d smoke Coach Stephanie White in 1v1. All I’m saying is that whoever ends up landing Earl is winning the WRC jackpot. His skills as a coach rival those of Coach King. Who knows, maybe 40 years from now we’ll look back on his track record and he’ll be the rebuilder of broken WRC football programs. I wonder how much he learned from Herb in the 3 years they coached together.
  12. This should mean that the greatest athlete the WRC has ever seen is a shoe in at NV. That might leave FC in quite predicament.
  13. Cronk to Seeger! Sounds like the legendary Jacob Earl is still in play. Which lucky school will end up with him at the helm?
  14. You know that ThePrince will keep the WRC threads full of and updated with The King’s love. Donnie, do you know what The King said to ThePrince as he left FC for BC? … … … Bye-Son.
