  1. Keep defending temptation. I respect it. I love your posts btw. 3 titles in track and a couple of volleyball Avon titles and what do you have for those 3 schools? Not much. The expansion of the westside has hardly affected BD outside of their band, which is now a small shell of itself. The point of my whole conversation is, build a program and a feeder system and you can be successful. Scott Williams ran a successful BD CC program in the 90's. Carmel wasn't poor then, BD beat them in 89/1990 my sophomore year. Times have changed for sure. Look at LaPorte baseball. Great decades ago, horrible now. Hobart football. Gary track and field decades ago. You have to have a program and feeder system. It's not hard math.
  2. So explain to me what Plainfield, Avon and Brownsburg have won since the 90's. Your example is moot. Those schools are haven't won crap. May a few band titles.
  3. The truth will never be ignorance. It'll be the truth.
  4. So enrollment doesn't factor in HS sports. Just football and basketball. Country club sports are about wealthy, suburban schools then? Not about support and coaching? Funny BD had a golf state championship team in the 90's and a couple of CC boys team titles. Country club sports? Guess it was luck back then. It's about the program. Wake up people. Develop a program and you can be successful.
  5. Sometimes the truth hurts. It's the reality of the situation. Don't ever talk to me about maturity. I called out the truth. Be a contender or a pretender, facts are facts.
  6. The whole point of this conversation involved enrollment. No on said enrollment is the sole reason of the top 4 but it can't be ignored. The big 4 in 6A are the mostly the biggest. My whole point is you have to have a program. BD has the numbers to be good in swimming, tennis, golf, baseball, softball and soccer. However, the school isn't invested in those sports. Football and basketball is their bread and butter. Now if BD ever decided to put some resources into the other sports, then they could compete. I remember the the days when BD girls swimming had Sherry Cartwright and Buffy Horlander. One went to UM and one to USC if I recall. Sorry if I am wrong. The fact of the matter is this simply: Have a program, a feeder system and a coaching staff who can deliver your program to a top level. Anyone know why zero teams will never beat Carmel in girls swimming? I know the answer and it's beyond 30 years for anyone to have the answer. It's actually simple. It's called a program and feeder system.
  7. I never said you did. I tend to agree with you on most conversations. Apologize if you thought I was referring to you. The ignorance is bliss comment is who I was referring to.
  8. Oh enrollment was mentioned and no that alone is not a key. As I have already stated, if enrollment is a major player in 6A football, then it should be in all sports. BD is marginal in most of their sports and they are a mega school. The fact is the program, commitment to youth leagues is the key. Great coaches and support from the school is vital. The 2 people who referred to my comments as "ignorance" are people don't know me and show their maturity level. Pretty pathetic. Act like adults people. Don't talk down to someone you don't know. Respect their opinions or don't respond. I know you wouldn't call me ignorant to my face, so don't do it on here. Be an adult. You are too funny. Maybe we can the DAC Monger back on here, like back in the old days of the forum.
  9. Haha. That's it. Excellent explanation lol.
  10. Your ignorance perplexes me. Please explain your professional opinion big guy.
  11. You two should explain this ignorance. Enlighten me champs.
  12. Someone made the enrollment of the big 3 or 4 as a factor. Yes it helps having a plethora of athletes. I'll always revert back to this as a BD fan: BD has 4500 students and if enrollment is a key to wins, then explain their swimming, golf, tennis, baseball, softball, soccer teams etc. They are average at best and yes "irrelevant" in those sports. Numbers help yes, but having a "program" is the key. It all begins with the youth leagues and developing a feeder system. That's why the successful 6A teams have been superior. Even though Warren hasn't won in a few years, they are loaded, especially on D. They have a coach who led BD to an undefeated 2017 season(massacre of Penn in the title game) and mainly top 10 nationally ranked team, some as high as #3 in the country. Don't ever count Mike Kirschner out. I truly believe BD and Warren should follow Carmel and CG in their scheduling. Logistics mean zero here too. Ohio is a FB hotbed and right next door. Leave the MIC in football and add 2 of their schools to the schedule. Money isn't an issue either. Moeller last year? No one from OH this year. Pike, Avon and North Central are scrimmages most seasons. Not going to prepare you for a state title. For example, BD alumni alone, not to mention a fairly healthy Wayne Township school corporation can definitely afford to help with any travel costs. In fact, play one out of state game and 1 in state game vs OH. That's an expense they can afford. Simple facts.
  13. It's funny I've been on this forum since many of you were in diapers. Haven't posted in years. Just been a long time fan and observer. Outside of Warren, BD, CG and Carmel can any of you prove that the word irrelevant isn't true for the pretenders? Not one of you can. Those 4 schools own 6A and Penn being the only big school in the conversation and they have been irrelevant for way too long. Since the pathetic IHSAA won't seed the big schools. we will continue to get the results we have gotten. Indy champ and some northern chump as runner up. It's never going to change. I compare it to the Carmel girls swimming dominance. Not one team outside of the Indy metro area will ever win a 6A title. Prove me wrong. Original forum poster.
  14. I know Warren and BD are each loaded with D1 talent. Warren on defense and BD across the board. I don't pay an ounce of attention past Carmel in the north, as they have proven irrelevant for years now. Center Grove is young, but has some line talent and young skill position talent. The south is the same way I feel about the north, past CG it's all small schools and irrelevant schools. Now as for favorites: I'd have to give the nod to Warren or BD. I wish BD would drop Pike, Avon and NC and leave the MIC and get onto a national schedule. WIthout CG and Carmel the MIC is Warren or BD. Maybe a Lawrence Township school once in a blue moon. I'm not going to say who wins, but it will be a south 6A team unless Carmel pulls something out and gets much better in a hurry. Just my 2 cents.
