Might be a somewhat different situation because of wrestling being a 1 day Sectional with the winner based on team points. With football being 3 games and travel expenses being what they are, I just don't see the IHSAA doing anything but looking purely at geography.  We shall see soon enough I suppose.

Just remember that a few years ago, Princeton was in sectional 30 with Brown County, Edgewood, and Sullivan, while Gibson Southern was in 32 with Corydon Central, North Harrison, and Salem.

I’m pretty sure that the IHSAA doesn’t worry too much about travel.

  2. Sectional 30 will be an easy fix with most likely West Vigo sliding up to sectional 29 to replace the team that slides to 28.

The question is how much of a cluster will sectional 23 and 24 look like with EC moving up and Memorial moving down. Yes, Chatard will push someone to sectional 23 (most likely), but not a lot of options for 24

  3. All I say about the game against Memorial is this. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Reitz can’t blame anyone but themselves for this one. You have over 200 yards in penalties for the game, you won’t win many games.

I can’t tell you how many times the defense had a stop, only to make a stupid mistake to keep a drive alive.

They got punched in the mouth early, and didn’t respond. Good game to the tigers.

It’s the Panthers play calling! Screen, deep shot to whoever, and a non creative run game. All season I wished they would put Vera at QB! If they don’t have stud players the system doesn’t work. Good thing they do.

Actually, Davies was a touch on the injured side so he didn’t play much (and when he did, you could see was having problems out there). With Vera at QB constantly, Boonville stacked the line knowing he wouldn’t throw the ball around like Davies does, and he was looking to run.

it is the adage of do what you can with the hand you’re dealt. Last week, Davies was healthy, and threw for 278 and 3 TDs, thusly opening up the offense that wasn’t available against Boonville.
