Until Indiana crosses the 320 mark, I think 32-64-64-64-64-32 just makes so much sense.

Now that Scottsburg and Silver Creek are back, would there be any schools added that weren’t at the lower end of enrollments?

Maybe if TH split into a North-South-East system. Are there any other places around the state where an HSE-Fishers type split would occur?

I agree with that split in classes.

  2. I thought that when you announce to the refs that you are taking a knee, you had to do so immediately as to not have the defense rush you.  If he ran around then the defense should have been allowed to rush the QB and treat it as an actually play.  I could be wrong, but I believe that is why the offense would let the defense know that they are taking a knee.

It can get pretty hectic there, especially when there are multiple substitutions, and people running in and out of the restricted area. We can’t play without moving them, so the basic rule is that they go where they need to go based on the situation, and everyone else yields the right of way. I’ve seen many occasions where things are so busy in the restricted area, such as a change of possession, that the chain gang has to go out on the field to get a clear path.

So they can run into coaches on the sidelines and then tell the referees, who then proceed to throw a flag for a sideline warning on the coaching staff?

  4. This is usually not seen on the video, but could you please verify where the chain gang is suppose to be when they move the chains?  There is an official's box, a coaches, box and the players box, when they are moving what box are they to be in?  We have had numerous times where they run into coaches, who are in the correct box, and they yell at us to get out of their way.  Seems that they should use the officials box to move the chain.

  5. I was just wondering the other day, is Football still the only IHSAA sanctioned sport that has summer rules?  12 summer practices with up to 5 of those being competitions.  Does basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, track, cross country, swimming, gymnastics, tennis and golf have these types of restrictions in the summer?  I could have sworn that our IHSAA Assistant Commissioner spoke at the IFCA coaches clinic and said that they were going to force those sports to set summer limits, since football was the only ones that did set limits.

  6. I have been to several different region Meetings where we pick who makes up the Region team, the step before they are picked for the all star game.  It always amazed me when I hear the coaches say how great character there kids have, and what a great representative of there community would be if they were on the team.  I have also heard several coaches say that "this is the type of kid I would let date my daughter."  I wonder if these kids fell under that criteria?
