  1. Southridge High School is looking to fill three dates on it's Freshman Schedule. 8/27 9/17 10/15 Home and Away is flexible. Please contact Scott Buening if interested. buenings@swdubois.k12.in.us
  2. No doubt as will be the HH/Jasper game...it was a bigger game for Southridge than Jasper but looking at the crowd they had, my guess is both athletic departments will miss it too as will HH's!
  3. Everyone looks at things differently, but I don't think they look at it that way...won like one outright PAC title (in like the mid-80's) and a handful of shared titles or so in many, many years, so don't think that was a consideration. I've not heard any news of their staff being on the hot seat because of their lack of PAC titles. Of course you may be right...maybe they are looking to make up for all those years without winning PAC titles because it's had a negative impact on their program and this will help them in the all-sports trophy standings...by the way, who won that the last however many years? I'll have to look it up, I couldn't tell you.. I do think that's why Southridge started soccer as well, so they could give themselves a better chance at winning the all-sports trophy. Not trying to be a total rear here, have a little fun on a Friday, but the idea that the PAC title is what they are gunning for each year and that was their goal to be in what some of you think is a lesser side of the conference...talking minus GS/HH/BV (who are on SR's schedule) is not it and I'm not sure everyone would agree with you that is the case anyway...some years maybe and some years maybe not. I"m sure they'll be happy if they win it because it means they won games and played good football, but that is a product of playing good football and getting better every week and thus probably playing well at the most important time of the year which is tournament time. Like the rest of the teams here, I'm sure they are looking to do what is best for their program and get better every week and hopefully be healthy and play well at the end of the season.
  4. Tentatively, the only change to Southridge's 2020 schedule will be a trade of Boonville for Jasper. Tentative Non-Conference Opponents Linton - Top 10 2A Program Boonville - 4A school...Last Years Big 8 Champs and This Year's Favorite on Paper Gibson Southern - Perennial Top 10 3A Team and Program Heritage Hills - Perennial Top 10 3A Team and Program I heard Southridge read some of the comments on here and reached out to Nick Saban about playing Alabama but unfortunately they couldn't get out of their LSU contract as they can't compete in the tournament without these types of games. Southridge looks at their scheduling as a whole and the small schools you all want to disrespect on here have some really good coaches who have just gotten started and are going to continue to improve and as much as you all like to think there is a magic wand that people wave to make teams good or not good, football is a numbers game and especially at smaller schools, is cyclical in nature. Southridge respects the schools in this conference and what their coaches are trying to do and I'm certain feel confident this schedule, as it has for years and years and years will help them in preparation for the tournament as it always has. On a side note, looking forward to the outcome of the TC/SS game tonight. Two new coaches working really hard to improve their programs and generate some excitement in their communities and should be a great tweener game tonight. Good luck to everyone.
