I think Barron made a good point earlier in the season about the steep drop off in kids playing sports for Plymouth. It starts with football, but you can't make kids excited for getting on a bus to go to the high school for practice because they decided to build the new middle school where the middle school football team practiced and played. I can see why this is an issue when it comes down to numbers. 

I have been wondering about everyone's thoughts are about the new stuff coming to Hudl such as the new camera they have been advertising nonstop. I am also wondering whay others are using to do film like digital camera vs iPad or phone. If you use the iPad, are you able to live tag the game while filming or not? And finally, what program or programs are you using to track stats if youre not using Hudl? We have been using the Hudl live tagging and ended up switching partway through the season to Digital Scout and the inputting everything into Hudl once we get the film up. Just trying to see the what other teams have been doing and get a better idea into how to best utilize our time and limit the amount of people that we use to do everything we do.

We have some great people that does our broadcasts who are all local and alumni of Triton. As the guy who sends all of the film off, I always try to make sure that you get at least halfway decent film and make sure my people are going to do a decent job. One of things that bugs me as a coach when I am trying to watch is when teams send the lower quality film using the iPad instead and they do not pan in just the slightest bit so it looks like little specs. I get it though, some teams have great fields, but that is ultimately not what I am looking for. 

@FarmerFran if I send crappy film to teams, they know where they can find it in 4K. We are committed to broadcasting all of our games at Triton with that high resolution and get an announcer calling the numbers of the players making tackles and running the ball.

That was Triton. I am one of the coaches and my brother and I who both played under Coach Younis built it during the spring. It's not as nice as some of the manufactured ones, but it gets the job done while doing stuff on a budget.

Just need some clarification. A horse collar tackle will be called if the tackler has the front or backside of the jersey above the numbers. Correct? Does this include tackles where the tackler grabs onto the shoulders and pulls the runner down?  

I got there late, but it was overall a very good game. Kiser just had surgery not too long ago on his shoulder. Pretty sure that would have not been idealistic and he was an early enrollee at ND as well. They want him healthy because they have plans for him. It was a healthy crowd to say the least with both sides having a great turn out from all over the state. 

I actually built one this past spring. I have total about $600. Much if the stuff I had donated such as the steel because I already had most of the steel and some of the miscellaneous stuff such as lawn mower tires. But if you have kids that have experience welding on your team, may be an option to cut the costs if you're looking for a cost effective way to do it. Here is a picture of what I did.

Nothing is really changing at all with the coaching staff. We are bringing in Zach Whittaker from Jimtown and he will take over as the Defensive Coordinator. We also brought in a Triton alum in Kyle Bell to work with the receivers and DBs. Other than that we are looking forward to seeing what we will have going into August. We maybe young this year, but we will have a bunch of potential to continue building on the success we have had.
