  1. I don’t want to start fights.  Been watching these two conferences my whole life, guess sometimes my joking don’t come through the computer screen

I known some coaches that’ll run her up, and usually 72 nothing is one of those situations but it seems like the coaches are ok with it so what do I know

WW did not attempt to run up the score. I am sure that their staff can vouch for that. We utilized the mercy rule as intended and subbed generously in the second the half. Young players carried the ball behind a mixed line (1st year varsity players that needed more reps and JV players capable of blocking without endangering those in the backfield). The 4th quarter was entirely young players. It was respectful throughout to assume otherwise is offensive. This thread has always been very respectful with contributions from fans and coaches. I hope it stays that way or I will not be visiting the site any longer.

    Hmmmmmmm.....seems like I upset someone

  3. Insights free of charge......

Btown- best meets least in this matchup.  Will Eastern go 0-fer?

Charlestown- congrats to the gens last week, but you still play in the msc

Corydon- yep I’m climbing on that horse one more time.  That being said I predict this to be the msc game of the week

    salem- by a mile

perry- getting on the winning side again

springs Valley- are the hawks back?  Didn’t expect them to hang with Mitchell, but they did more than hang!  Too early to tell, and of course the orange bowl will be the PLAC game of the week.  Can’t wait

west wash- geez, you think you’d call off them dogs at some point last week!  I feel like west wash should be solid in this one but that Jon Harrell site somebody posted on here has them losing to Mitchell 28-38.  I don’t know about all the math on that one I’m more of a shop guy than math but that website sure is impressive.

  4. Before I give my picks I got a couple of talking points for everyone

whose tearing it up running throwing and catching so far this season in these leagues

    anybody got eye popping stats

also who is the biggest surprise in each league

my picks through two measles games is Clarksville and valley

I feel like you are over thinking this. WW is the best team in the PLAC and it's not close. They will go undefeated, win the conference, and sectional. I've not looked ahead to see who they could play in the regional so I won't comment on that.

Before the injury, sure.  Not like they got a test last night tho, so we still don’t know

startimg with Mitchell well find out a lot about west wash, but when you lose a running back like that, I just ain’t seen many small school teams win championships after that.

  6. I’m getting use to this being wrong thing.....maybe ex wife #2 was right......but I didn’t shut up then so I won’t now.

I think the commodores have some stuff to figure out.....so I’m going to suggest the blackhawks as the new PLAC favorites.  they really handled Mitchell last night, and I find it likely that west wash won’t be able to overcome their losses

    When do them two play?

on the MSc side, btown seems to be on a path to run the table.

one thing I will take credit for is them panthers.  Sure paoli is down, but those boys are much improved

shocked about Clarksville and Pekin!  Good for the generals getting a win, but how bad is Pekin this year?

I’ll take others lead and not touch Salem with a 10 foot pole......I love rumors as much as the next guy, but the stuff I’ve heard can’t be true.....if it is, then a lot of folks need to lose their jobs

looking forward to the pick um’ hope my internet box keeps winking at me

  7. Miss me?  Internet has been out like the cows this week on the ranch.....

For the many umpteenth time in my life, I’ll eat that crow.....washing it down with a warm glass of shutting the hell up.

    but then again.......

    btown

    pekin

    NH

    corydon (still believing!)

    silver creek

west wash (sounds like things will be crashing back to earth for the dubbers)

    pc (now PLAC faves)

    mitchell

I'm not excited at all. We play them next Friday. I don't coach there. I'm just aware of what teams around me have.

Oh, my mistake.....you were answering the questions so I assumed you were the coach....

I’m telling you, anybody can beat anyone if they believe in their hearts hard enough.....get them boys fired up!

No Caleb Murphy of WW is committed to IU. Bobby Stevens is the RB at WW. He will probably rush for 2,000 yards this season.

Woah, all this from west wash?!!  Sure seems like that should be a typo.  You must be excited to have players like that.

Got anyone to go with em?

Actually, I think the PC QB is really good so not knocking him. If there were a conference pre-season offensive player of the year, It's Bobby Stevens. And I don't really think it's close.

Tell me more.....west wash is one of those places where my networks a little dry......you say this Bobby is a big ten recruit?!

  11. And another thing:

Perry is gonna be good this year.  I think they have the best player in the conference in their QB, and a ton of experience coming back.

It seems like folks are high on West wash, and that week 7 could be a slobber knocker......maybe a repeat in sectionals.

Just never sure about west wash......they won a couple of sectionals against down opponents over the years, but Perry looks to have the edge on them in 2019.

Now, I’ll brace for impact, ha!

Thank you sir, this is precisely how I hoped you would respond, I don't want an internet scuffle either lol.

To be fair...Brownstown loses a lot every year. Most Seniors start when possible, then they graduate and well, that's that.

We really have quite a few starters returning on both sides this year, at least the normal amount, if not more.

On paper this year's team is the fastest we've ever had and just about the strongest too, but we do have some kids

that will improve as the year goes on and they gain more Varsity experience.

All in all, I would expect the same type of season that we normally have for the most part. I personally do not expect

us to lose in the MSC this year, but then again, I am biased and have the same expectations every year!

I hope Corydon is on the right track and is going to have a decent two year run, but I will be surprised if they can turn

around a 42 point deficit from the last team that they played.

I will definitely eat crow if they run the table this year......they may/probably should beat Corydon, but I’m gonna be surprised if they run the table (minus Seymour).....heck, sometimes getting beat in the regular season is good for you all....seems to set up a deeper tourney run.

Don't beat around the bush bub, what are you saying?

Corydon is going to win conference and go undeafeated?

Brownstown is going to have their first losing record in 27 years?

Don't leave us hanging, share this "insider knowlege" that you have, inquiring minds want to know!!!

I ain’t got time for no internet scuffle...too old for that..no disrespect was intended.

I just hear Corydon has a nice young group coming up....took their licks in 18’, but I see a nice 2 year run for them.

Brownstown lost a lot from last season, right?

Getting some varsity action seasoning plays a big role, especially week 1.

And by surprise, I meant Btown could drop 3 or 4 games....then come back in 2020 and run the table.

So, I’m picking a surprise for week 1.....but as my ex wives are a testament to, I’ve been wrong before

Just noticed, Mitchell opens at Edgewood. After getting new red turf last year, Edgewood had another construction project over the summer. New home and visitors locker facilities. I can't recall whether they had already done a bleacher upgrade or if it was in the works. I know they've flipped home and away stands, so the visitors will now have to face the sun in the early season games. As an added bonus they have also added officials dressing in the new building, so we no longer have the long walk across the parking lot. Edgewood has made some massive facility upgrades the last two years, it looks awesome.

Very vibrantly growing bedroom community of Bloomington.

  15. Long time listener, first time caller lol......

Life long Perry county/Crawford county resident.....but actually got hooked on Valley football in the 80s....been following PLAC and more or less MSC teams since.

I got buddies with inside scopes all over southern Indiana....they’ll trade info for beer any day!  Ha!

Any way, I’m looking at the MSC for game of the week.......NH lost a ton, but they’ve had Salem’s number for a while......Salem returns a lot, and their Q may be one of the best small school Qs this side of I-74.

All that being said, I think NHs staff has the Lions’ staffs number.....but I’ve been wrong a time or two before.

    My picks:

    Switzerland (finally not neutral lol)

    Valley

    Madison (paoli lost them all)

Edgewood (Mitchell night only best Crawford this year)

Perry (my pick for PLAC champs)

west wash (wasn’t this suppose to be a conference game lol?)

    Charlestown

    Scottsburg

Corydon (upset special of the week)

    NH

Gonna go finish watching Drew Brees carve up the Buckeyes, circa 2000.....gotta love that BTN!
